Welcome to our retro decorated ranch style bungalow. We have a nice getaway on nearly 5 acres, backing onto crown land with water access. Deer routinely frequent our property. We have a pond in the backyard. Located 15 minutes outside New Glasgow, we are close to all amenities. You can drive to Halifax in 1.5 hours. The ferry to Prince Edward Island is 20 minutes away. Cape Bretton is only an hour away and easy to explore in day drives from the house.

The space

There are two bathrooms , three bedrooms, the kitchen, and living room on the main floor. We do not have internet or a land line phone. The cellular signal is good and I have streamed movies through my phone's hot spot. There is a large room in the basement with a couple of couches, one is a recliner. There is an additional room downstairs that could be used for a bedroom upon request. An airbed could be provided.

Guest access

There is a garage that is not to be used, as we are utilizing it for storage.

Other things to note

A member of our family is allergic to dog and cat dander. Unfortunately pets are not permitted.

A great pleasure to share Ian and Diane's lovely home in the country, with its deer and humming birds.... Really warm welcome and instantly one of the family. Many thanks for everything. Tim & Véro

Ian and his wife were extremely hospitable and kind. Their property is perfect for small families or adventurers. Their homey bungalow site on a large property of land with plenty of room to run around, have bonfires, or even admire the bay. A little secluded but really depends on what your trip itinerary is, my friends and I toke a ferry over from PEI and Ian's place was perfect for us to stay at after a long day trip. I would recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The hosts were very accommodating and down to earth! Their beautiful home is centrally located for sight seeing, close to beaches, and town is a 10 minute drive if you need anything at the store. The kitchen is very large and fully stocked if you decide to cook at home. It was truly a wonderful experience and well worth the price!

Nice quiet location away from hustle and bustle, yet close enough to easily get places. Ian was very accommodating with directions, and what was available in case we needed other things.
