**JR PASS HOLDERS** we used the JR line to get everywhere around Tokyo as Minamisenju is in the JR line. And the house is only a few blocks from the station. Please note that there is a subway station called Minamisenju but around the corner from it is the JR train station. The French guy at reception is super helpful and has great English. Ask him where to go, how to go or anything you want, and he'll be happy to help. The house is decorated with cool retro items that give the space a quirky touch. The room (we had a double private room) was perfect for a few nights in Tokyo. Even though the kitchen and toilet are shared, we hardly ever saw anyone around. They were cleaned every day. The showers have great water pressure and were always clean. The kitchen could do with a deep clean every now and then though. There is a washing machine that operates with coins (¥200) and a dryer (¥100 for 30 minutes) in the terrace, where you can also hang your washing. If you are on a budget, the supermarket around the block has ready meals that are discounted from 8:30pm. If you go and they are only 20% off, wait around the meals with the other locals until they put the 50% off sticker on them! We totally recomend this place!!

Excellent hostel, not far from Asakusa, Ueno, and Akihabara :) Raoul was super accommodating when we needed a place to drop off our backpacks after taking an overnight bus from Osaka. There are two spacious common areas in the hostel as well, which are great for meeting fellow travelers. We'd definitely stay here again

Aizuya was a comfortable experience with all the amenities as listed. Raoul was a fantastic host, and I would stay here again. The inn's location has moved from the original listing but is still a 10 minute walk from the minami senju station (Hibiya line access). Just make sure to get the right address.
