Walk to Sunny Point Cafe, Biscuit Head, and other West Asheville hot spots from our quiet, welcoming neighborhood. It's a 5-minute drive to the River Arts District and New Belgium Brewing, 10 to downtown or the Biltmore Estate, and only 15 minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway. You'll enjoy the privacy and comfort of the in-law apartment in our modern, green-built home.
Your space is a bright and airy in-law apartment in the walk-out basement of our home. You have your own private entrance, covered patio, living space, kitchenette, bathroom, and bedroom. We welcome ALL guests to our cozy space!
You will have access to the full basement apartment, with a separate entrance. We avoid using the backyard when you are present and save chores like mowing the lawn for when you are out exploring or between guest stays, to make it even more private for you.
Interaction with guests
We live upstairs, and you will hear us moving around from time to time. We try to be conscientious and quiet; however, fair warning: we are fairly early risers, especially on weekdays. If you have any questions or needs, we are just a text away. Please let us know if you have issues with the wi-fi or temperature and we are happy to help troubleshoot. We can also suggest hikes and activities (check out our guidebook for lots more).
Other things to note
ACCESSIBILITY: This unit is accessed via a path from the street level to the basement level. If you have mobility issues, you may prefer to book elsewhere.
FURRY FRIENDS: We do not allow pet visitors. Our cat Fuzzy Bear lives upstairs. If you are extremely allergic, you may prefer to book elsewhere.
PERMITS: We are a LEGAL homestay and fully permitted through the City of Asheville!
EXTREME TEMPS: The unit has baseboard heaters, but no A/C. We've added fans and the unit stays comfortable especially if you open up the windows at night.
I'm a scientist, traveler, foodie, and cyclist. My husband Drew and I love exploring new places through coffee, beer, and biking. We live in a quiet West Asheville neighborhood with our six year old son Nels and very large cat. Come stay with us and ask us about our Asheville favorites.
