Quite, quaint A-frame cabin tucked away with a wonderful creek in the yard. Jake and Eden were wonderful hosts, and the house itself was great! If you are looking for a weekend or week long getaway, with a desire to get away from it all - look no further. Sleep with the doors open and fall asleep to the sound of the creek, and wake to the same. House has a nice kitchen, with everything you need. Want a bbq, they have it. Want a fire outside in a fire pit , they have that too. Take long walks along seldom traveled gravel roads, or hang out in the yard enjoying the shade of old hemlock trees. If you are traveling in the area, Oneonta is 15 minutes and Cooperstown (where we went for a baseball tournament) is only 35 minutes, and there is nothing like a 30 minute drive through the country! We highly recommend this spot and will return for ourr next trip upstate!

Our stay was more beautiful than we could have imagined. It is situated in a quiet valley, but within easy driving to local attractions, like Bovina and Andes. We can't wait to go back and stay there again!

Jake was very accommodating and worked with my travel dates and arrival. Was super helpful in any questions I had about directions.. shops in town and about the home before arriving. Upon arrival we were greeted by Jacob and his super adorable pup Susie. The photos are accurate but its even better in person .. you're in for a treat. Theres a creek in the back of the house that you can hear as you walk throughout the cabin, very tranquil. There is no wifi or service (barely) .. which could be a good or a bad thing depending on what you want out of this stay. I quite enjoyed not having service, theres one area in the house that does get service so if I really needed to i could get it. But it would definitely be a plus if there was wifi for those who want to come up to create, or work from home but also be secluded. This was the perfect getaway for what i was looking for. Also my friends who have never gone out of the city into a rural area loved. Took some adjusting but it was an experience for everyone. It made my 25th birthday an incredible one. A few minutes down the road theres a family who own a farm house whom we bought fresh eggs from, they were so nice they gave us a tour of their land and the cowshed, so unexpected and a nice way to end the trip. It was an unforgettable experience. thank you again for hosting my friends and i.

This cabin blends rustic with modern chic to make for the perfect location for relaxing with a few people or a group in a nature setting. We loved the loft bed and the well supplied and clean kitchen. We also had a very late arrival (midnight) and the hosts waited up for us to show us around and give us the keys. We hope to go back someday!

We had such a wonderful weekend away in Jacob's Creekside cabin. The inside was just as advertised and we spent hours pouring through all the books and listening to records. The kitchen was well-equipped and we loved brushing-up on our culinary skills, cooking up delicious meals in the evenings. The bedrooms were cozy and I loved falling asleep to the sound of the water and waking up to the sun shining through the windows and the view of the creek. Every morning we would take our coffees outside and sit in silence just listening and watching. It was very peaceful. We didn't do to much exploring as we were set on just relaxing and reading but we did go down to the creek with the dogs where they could run around and cool-off in the water. While we were on the property though, we decided it was best to keep the dogs on leash because the road is very close to the cabin and was frequented by locals. We didn't find it too disruptive but definitely preferred to walk down to the creek to get that secluded feeling. Overall we found our stay to be very inspiring. Having no internet or tv encouraged us to reconnect and spend time doing all those things you mean to make time for but never really do. We very much look forward to returning. Thanks again, Jake!
