location location location! This place is great for access to the metro and exploring the mall! Uber X was about 6 bucks and great for our group. Michael is attentive and helpful. He helped a few times with bringing us a light for the stove, extra towels and even some toothpaste. The house itself for some may seem like a no frills location but I enjoyed the claw foot tub, squeaky real wood floors and even the older but serviceable furniture. The updated kitchen was great, ac very welcomed for the 85% humidity days we were there.

We had a great time at this Old Firehouse apartment! The building was built in 1885 it is a historic site. The location is fantastic, literally one block from the Metro and only 3 or 4 stops away from the national mall. There are also several great restaurants and stuff within walking distance in this neighborhood which is becoming a really happening neighborhood. We couldn't find any kid friendly restaurants nearby but there are a lot of trendy bars and such. As others have mentioned the couches are not the most comfortable but they weren't that bad and it was great having full Xfinity On Demand with tons of movies and things to watch after coming home from seeing all the great DC sites. There was some music/noise from nearby units a few times, but it was generally pretty quiet and we slept well. The Rooftop is awesome, especially at night to see the city lights and you can see the Washington Memorial from up there! I didn't get a chance to meet Michael but he was very responsive and all arrangements including check in/out were super smooth. We would definitely stay here again!

Good place to stay for a family. Lyft and Uber made it easy to get to sights. Love the neighborhood. Easy walking to Subway and restaurants. Would come here again.

Great home in a perfect location! No need for a car. Close to metro and great restaurants on 14th street. Awesome gas range just begging to be used. Picked up steaks, pasta and cheeses from Eastern Market for a great meal at the house. Rooftop was relaxing at the end of a busy day. Michael made himself available but not needed. Will definitely stay here again.

Michael's place is awesome. It's close to transit options, and close enough to everything to be convenient without being noisy. The place is equipped with much of what you need, and Michael was very accommodating in fulfilling requests. The apartment is oozing character. I'd stay here again.

Mike was an outstanding host! He was responsive and even came home early from a concert to help us check in. The property is as described. Spacious, chic and in the best location in DC. We stumbled into Le Diplomate, (a short stroll away on K Street), the first night we arrived and we were blown away by just how much there was to see and do. Highly recommend this once in a lifetime experience.
