Really nice place to stay. A few communication issues prior to arriving (incorrect address given by agency). Host was helpful.

Our reservation was canceled on us after I had even double checked the week of to make sure we were all set for check in. We arrived at the house and had no room. Luckily, they found a place for us to stay just up the road and I think we lucked out because we stayed with a lady named La China and she was wonderful! I suggest staying with her in Varadero.

Response from RIA Vacations VARADERO:
The guests was accomodated on a perfect house and as she stated she was able to enjoy her time with us. We explainded her that due to damages caused bu the Irma hurricane the room that she had rented was out of service but she insisted on staying and we accomodated her on a perfect place so we dont understand why such a bad review really a shame

Perfect location and literally few footsteps walking distance through the sand to the pristine beaches of Varadero! The whole peninsula is very long but this was at a good location between Calle 26 and 27 with a few restaurants close by to get food. I do recommend getting a bike somehow if you want to explore the peninsula as it's very very long or a horse carriage ride and make sure to always negotiate prices up front. One thing to be aware of is to take care of your transportation to and from Varadero as it is quite tricky and expensive especially to Havana airport and the host was not very knowledgeable on getting around in general. They do offer breakfast for 5CUC/person/night and it was very filling. They have a beautiful home and garden setup that is shared with a standup pool as well and an outside shower to het all the sand off. The water pressure was great in their shower (which is important to note as Havana we had some very bad experience) and everything was very very clean!

We had a great stay at Ely's house! The beach within walking distance was the perfect spot and wasn't too overcrowded. We also were served a delicious breakfast that was more than enough food. Aside from being right by the beach, the location was a nice walk to the downtown area as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Varadero.

The location was perfect. You walk to the backyard and the beach was at your feet. We had a separate entrance and exit gate throughout the day so we didn't disturb the residents. We also had a key to our room which was nice for privacy. I wish we had some cleaning service while there, or at least new towels. Our room was much smaller then expected. We only have space to walk one person at a time. The biggest problem were the ants. The door or window weren't insulated so we had ants all over our beds, luggages, and purses. The room had air conditioner and fan which was great for the hot days. Our hostess was initially very distant. We didn't get a proper introduction to her or the home. We were taken directly to our room by a friend of her. We didn't have information on how/what we can access in her home during our stay, including the kitchen, so we just stayed in our little area. The person who normally cooks wasn't there so we couldn't order breakfast in the morning. The location to the beach was perfect, however quality restaurants were lacking in this area. We loved varadero and look forward to going back in the future.

Thank you for the wonderful time in Varadero! We really liked that the casa is so close to the beach, just 30 m away. Although we were in the middle of the touristic Varadero, it was calm and nice. The beautiful porch right in front of our room helped us to relax and enjoy our stay. The hosts are very helpful and kind! We had the best breakfast there :-) All the best, Katharina and Florian

We spent 2 nights here in early August. You cannot beat the location/proximity to the beach - it is literally steps away! The room is located in a newly-constructed building detached from the main house, so it has private, secure access. You can come and go as you please without disturbing anyone. There is a neat palapa out front (with a disco ball light!) that's great for sitting outside at night and drinking some rum. The bedroom is basically just beds (1 double, and 1 twin) and a TV, but what more do you need? The bathroom is large and our American phone chargers, hair dryers, etc. worked without an adapter. There is a walk-in closet with plenty of room for your luggage. The AC works great (we were even cold at times), but the bed is very uncomfortable. If you have back problems, you might have an issue staying here. The bedroom has windows at the front, but they don't have glass or screens - only "swing-out" wooden shutters. Not a problem, but you need to keep them shut when the AC is running, which makes the room very dark. The hosts gave us ice and glasses upon request and allowed us to store our luggage there after check out. It is quite a hike to Beatles Bar and Calle 64, but cabs and coco-taxi's are plentiful. The beach is beautiful and deserted if you get there early in the morning. If the beach is what you are looking for, this is the place for you!
