Large attic room in a beautiful, spacious Victorian house. Lovely, quiet, tree lined road not far from Norwich city centre.
Our lovely attic room is large (covering the whole of the top floor of the house) with a double bed, a big corner settee and coffee table and a small settee. The main part of the attic is full height and has plenty of light from three windows on both sides of the room. It has stunning views over Norwich, taking in both or our cathedrals and various other Norwich landmarks. The rest of the house is light, bright, full of fabulous art with a cool, relaxed vibe. Wi-fi access and local information (pubs, places to eat etc) is available.
Our kitchen has a diner-extension with bi-folding doors which look out over the little piece of lush paradise that is our garden. Guests are welcome to make coffee or tea in the kitchen and to sit out on the deck in the garden. You can also smoke in the garden if you wish.
Although the bathroom is shared it is very big and super cool - we will prioritise it for your use. There is also an extra toilet upstairs separate from the bathroom. There is parking on our street - no permit necessary. It gets quite full from about 5:00pm onwards but you can usually find a space within a minute's walk.
Interaction with guests
Myself and David (my partner) like to be around to welcome our guests and show you around. We will give you as much private space as you want but are also very happy to interact and have had some great, sociable times with some of our visitors. We have lived in Norwich for many years so can tell you a lot about our lovey city and recommend places to go.
Other things to note
The attic is an original part of the house, not a conversion so there is a proper built in staircase with bannister. It is slightly steeper than the main stairs so might not be suitable for those with mobility problems. (Please see photo). We are very happy to help people carry suitcases up to the attic.
The bed is partly beneath the eaves but easily sleeps two comfortably.
We are a friendly, semi-retired, professional couple who live in the beautiful, historic city of Norwich, England. We love the arts and enjoy live music, DJs, art exhibitions and indie cinema.
