Large attic room in a beautiful, spacious Victorian house. Lovely, quiet, tree lined road not far from Norwich city centre.

The space

Our lovely attic room is large (covering the whole of the top floor of the house) with a double bed, a big corner settee and coffee table and a small settee. The main part of the attic is full height and has plenty of light from three windows on both sides of the room. It has stunning views over Norwich, taking in both or our cathedrals and various other Norwich landmarks. The rest of the house is light, bright, full of fabulous art with a cool, relaxed vibe. Wi-fi access and local information (pubs, places to eat etc) is available.

Guest access

Our kitchen has a diner-extension with bi-folding doors which look out over the little piece of lush paradise that is our garden. Guests are welcome to make coffee or tea in the kitchen and to sit out on the deck in the garden. You can also smoke in the garden if you wish.

Although the bathroom is shared it is very big and super cool - we will prioritise it for your use. There is also an extra toilet upstairs separate from the bathroom. There is parking on our street - no permit necessary. It gets quite full from about 5:00pm onwards but you can usually find a space within a minute's walk.

Interaction with guests

Myself and David (my partner) like to be around to welcome our guests and show you around. We will give you as much private space as you want but are also very happy to interact and have had some great, sociable times with some of our visitors. We have lived in Norwich for many years so can tell you a lot about our lovey city and recommend places to go.

Other things to note

The attic is an original part of the house, not a conversion so there is a proper built in staircase with bannister. It is slightly steeper than the main stairs so might not be suitable for those with mobility problems. (Please see photo). We are very happy to help people carry suitcases up to the attic.

The bed is partly beneath the eaves but easily sleeps two comfortably.

Flying visit whilst in Norwich for a business trip. Easy on street parking. Greeted by the hosts and immediately made to feel welcome and relaxed, good tastes in music ; ) The attic space was beautiful and clean as was the rest of the house. I only regret that I couldn't have stayed longer! Ben.

Great location and lovely attic. It was easy to walk straight into town. Parking on the street was fine. David & Jenny are so lovely. I will be checking their availability when I next visit Norwich.

Jenny and David are wonderful hosts and such lovely people. They made my time in Norwich such a memorable experience, thank you so much! The bedroom is big, with enough space to do yoga in the morning. The bed itself is super comfy too and very peaceful, I had a great nights sleep. The whole house is lovely and the garden particularly is amazing. Plus there's tea and coffee available at all times. Once again thank you so much Jenny and David and let's please stay in touch! All the best, Marilyn

Visiting Norwich? Look no further, stay here. All boxes were ticked; Accommodation, Location & Host Friendliness. We walked into town within 15 minutes and were able to easily park outside the house for free - which is near impossible in Norwich. Jenny & David are also great; everything you want from hosts. We will be back for sure.
