It's a literal minute out the front door to the boutiques, restaurants and pubs of 17th Ave SW. You're 900m to the Sunalta C-Train station to connect essentially anywhere in the city and - because you're in the core - Car2go, Uber, transit and taxis are plentiful.
A ~1500 square foot, 3 bedroom, two storey Victorian home in a quiet neighbourhood lovingly restored as a full-time Airbnb including the fact that we've brought the original Douglas Fir floors back to life after over a century of use. The three bedrooms will sleep 7 comfortably on one king, one queen, one double and one twin bed. An 8th person can sleep comfortably on the luxurious, oversized couch in the front room and there is a heavy-duty, thick, double air mattress with linens and pillows in the master bedroom closet that can be deployed for two more guests - most suitably children, tweens or teens. Let us know in advance if you'd like us to set it up for you.
The rear yard is completely fenced and very private. Relax under the shade of mature trees and enjoy the new landscaping featuring Rundle stone, potted flowers and plants, a large, custom cedar picnic table and a unique rough-slab shale stone table with rustic wrought chairs. A new propane grill completes this charming outdoor space.
You will have exclusive use of the entire home with the exception of the basement which is simply an unfinished space with utilities (there are no other residents or tenants in the property).
Interaction with guests
We are easily reached during normal waking hours by SMS, phone or email should you have general questions or concerns and we'll be happy to hear from you. We live ~20 minutes away from the property if needed for emergencies.
Other things to note
We are pleased to offer our guests coffee and a selection of teas. They are stocked near the coffee maker and kettle in the kitchen.
For guests staying one week or longer we offer a shopping service where we can stock your pantry / fridge with any basic groceries you may require. You pay only for the goods - there is no extra fee for this service (unless you request something out of the ordinary and we can discuss such one-off requests in advance).
- Pets must be pre-approved as part of the initial reservation request and are at our discretion (do not instant book if you are wanting to bring pets)
- No outdoor footwear in the house
- No illegal activities permitted
- No commercial use
- No unregistered guests permitted

We are a family of four who returned to Canada in October 2014 after expatriate rotations in Houston and Istanbul. We have traveled extensively. Now that our two children are school-aged we're happy to be putting down roots in our hometown of Calgary.
