Own bathroom w shower.Bedroom overlooks the shaded street. A/C, parking.Have breakfast coffee, alfresco lunch or sip wine on the deck in pricacy, and watch the sunset.

The space

Kitchen has a cafe table and chairs. In addition a cool bar with French antique cafe bar stools to enjoy meals & snacks. The private back terrace off the kitchen is sunny in the morning to enjoy your wake up coffee. Midday soak up the sun or in the evening watch the romantic sunset. Eclectic antique decor collected from around the world as well as designer accents. Not a boring, same old space!the kitchen has a sink, small refrigerator, cook top w 2 burners, microwave, toaster, electric tea kettle, electric coffee pot, stove top kettle, and a French press for coffee. Lots of coffee, tea cups, glasses, pots, pans, designer cutlery & dishes.
Outdoor table has romantic overhead string of lights for ambience. Cafe table and chairs & candles. 2 designer lounge chairs to lie back and star gaze. Cozy throw blankets to enjoy if evenings are chilly.
All linens and bedding are provided. All 100% cotton of course!
Bathroom supplies; bath towels, hand towels, hand soap, body wash, hair dryer, bathroom cleaning supplies are included. I find most people prefer their own brands of shampoo, but a small bottle is provided. There is also an clothing iron and compact ironing board. There is a shower, sink and toilette.
All windows have soft white curtains but also have a second layer of black-out curtains. These completely block out the sun, so if closed when you go out on an extremely hot day, they keep the apartment so much cooler.
The apartment/ loft is the complete 3rd floor of my house. You have a locked door to enter the stairway to the loft.
You enter the main house with a separate key. You share the hallways up until your locked third floor stairway entrance.
I provide a place to store luggage, beside the kitchen under the angled ceiling roof. So they are out of your way.
There is no clothing cupboard, but rather, a stunning antique carved brass rolling rack.Curtains can be pulled to hide the rack and also separate the bedroom off from the rest of the loft.
Besides the comfy bed with new mattress, there is a double futon bed that unfolds . It is a sofa otherwise.
Internet is high speed and unlimited, so enjoy!
TV is cable and instructions are included.
I try to keep costs down and the loft a good value, so appreciate guests being "green"..meaning turning off lights, fans, A/C , heaters blasting when not home. It's a small space that's quickly heated up or cooled when you return. I will handle recycling and garbage as I realize that it is confusing to guests!
There is a BBQ in the back yard on the main floor for anyone's use.

Guest access

The main floor backyard is for all to enjoy. There is a BBQ for all to use. There is parking but it must be mentioned when booking so there is no overlap of guests.

Interaction with guests

Access by phone, text, email at all times. Personal interaction as requested by guests desires and needs.
Cell is best as I'll always get texts and be able to reply immediately.

Other things to note

A very hip cool area but in a friendly neighbourhood , great mix of older residences, some restored, others with great history and architecture specific to Toronto. Right downtown close to everything, but safe, quiet and a walking area.

Pam's place is so lovely and cozy. I stayed in the loft and it was gorgeous. It was bigger than I'd anticipated and the private deck was gorgeous. The bed was so comfy, it was tough to get out of bed in the morning! And Pam was great to deal with; easy to reach and very accommodating. Would definitely stay here again!

The Loft was exactly as pictured in a residential area close to lots of bars/restaurants (including Kensington Market). The only issues we had were the shower being clogged — it's a very small shower so the lack of drainage made it impossible to shower more than 2-3 minutes — but Pam was very responsive and her housekeeper was able to fix the next morning. The neighborhood was generally quiet, however for half of our stay roofers were doing early morning repairs on the adjoining house making it impossible to sleep past 8:30 Friday and Saturday. Not Pam's fault and, again, she was very responsive/apologetic, but it did impact our stay. Good WiFi.

Pam was available for communication. She handled a problem created by another of her guests and provided a refund promptly for unused stay. The location is excellent. Close to College St. scene. The bedding was white linens so clean and comfortable. The building has not been renovated to modern standards (ie electrical/ door locks) and could use some TLC. The building is an old Victorian home. That is charming and has a cool vibe. At the right price, I think it is good value.

We enjoyed our stay at Pam's loft. She is a nice person and helped us with our itinerary. Her home itself is on a quiet street and a few steps later you are already in a lively neighborhood. We could keep our baggage in her house while we were waiting for our departure, which is always nice.

Fashion designer with a stunning ornate Victorian home. The basement apartment is furnished reflecting my fashion and design sense. Not a beige on beige box!
I work and hang out close by and love the cafe culture, walking neighborhood and beautiful and diverse architecture. I love the European lifestyle and this is the closest thing to it in Toronto. A bunch of different cuisines in every block. The newest and coolest restaurants chock a bloc with mulit generational ethnic family run joints. Patios and brunch spots galore.
