An A-FRAME pitched roof hovers over the king size bed in the master bedroom. Lots of light in the day with the peaceful drone of the ocean waves crashing outside the window at night. (Taller peeps, watch your heads in this room!)It's a mere 20 paces to this view from the cottage. A stroll on these bluffs will have you coming back again and again.

This location is like no other in Pacific Palisades. The Cottage behind the main house is your own private Paradise. You're seconds from the most spectacular view of the Ocean. A 10 minute walk to local restaurants, shopping, coffee, cocktails and more. A 15 minute drive to Venice Beach. Malibu is 15 minutes in the opposite direction. I know LA by heart. Whatever you need, just ask! Whether you're in the fast lane or just cruising, I'll host you here at the cottage for the stay of a lifetime. ;)

The space

The Main House on the bluffs in Pacific Palisades was built by my father in the 1940s. This Williamsburg Colonial Style House was one of the first houses along this stretch of the California coast.

After my father passed we converted the 850 sq foot garage into a cozy little two story cottage that has the same look and feel as the main house.

We've recently remodeled and furnished the space to be the perfect get-away for a traveler, couple, or couples wanting to visit Los Angeles and live a stone's throw from where the ocean breeze can wash away their cares.

When you walk outside to the bluffs you'll feel the cares of the world blow away in the ocean breeze. It feels a little like the land before time and you'll never want to leave.

The upstairs master bedroom has a low set king size bed that feels like sleeping in God's loft. There's plenty of light all day, and at night, the sound of the surf will carry you off to sleep. The master bath is small but cozy with all the amenities and a piping hot shower. (Sorry, soakers, no tub.)

The downstairs living space has a beach sofa that whispers, "Come, sit on me and relax!" It folds out easily into a Queen size bed for couple number two.

We also have a little "Hide-Away" room with super comfy blow-up twin bed to accommodate another sleepy guest. (Please check price adjustment for 5th adult) This room also serves as couple number two's walk in closet for clothes and baggage storage.

For your Washer/Dryer needs you are more than welcome to use the shared, outdoor W/D facilities with the main house.

Guest access

The entrance to the cottage is through the driveway on the side of the main house. For your entire stay the cottage is yours including your private patio, Charcoal BBQ, hammock and outdoor dining set up with umbrella shade. The Bistro Style patio lights make this such a fun place to relax at night. But you are more than welcome to hang out with a drink in the front of the main house where we have a fire pit (and three adorable tiny rescue pups) to watch the sunset over the ocean. This view is nothing less than SPECTACULAR and quite often you might even see/hear some guitars coming out for some evening songs.

Interaction with guests

I want your experience here at the cottage to be just what you need. If alone space is what you crave, I'll be available only when and if you need me. But I love to entertain and I know this city, the hot spots, the fun spots, the sun spots, so if you need direction and some socializing it's something I love to do with my guests.

As of MID APRIL, 2017, our neighbors behind us are finishing up their remodel. Though they are past the heavy pounding phase, their construction is still happening and from time to time sounds like... construction. The cottage is quite sound proof, and a one minute walk out onto the bluffs quiets the noise to a whisper. But full disclosure helps to put all potential issues above board.

Other things to note

I've tried to imagine the kinds of extras I'd like to have if I were to visit the beach in Los Angeles. During summer we have a couple of Beach Cruiser Bikes. It's about a 10 minute bike ride to the Bike Path on the beach which is only a 20 minute bike ride to Venice Beach, CA. We have back packs and paddles to play paddle tennis in Venice. We also have surfboards if you've always dreamed of learning to surf. If you didn't have room for your clubs, we have two sets of Golf Clubs with lovely 18 and 9 hole courses within 30 minutes of the cottage.

There is an outdoor hot and cold shower for those beach days. Please rinse off before entering the cottage to keep sand at a minimum.

While shoes are fine to wear inside we'd appreciate taking your shoes off before going up stairs. Thanks.

This is a wonderful little house in the very beautiful neighborhood of Pacific Palisades. From the garden und can see the Pacific Ocean. Go surfing at the beach, the boards and towls provided and the outside shower just make it a true California feeling. Geno is a terrific and very caring host.

If you want to "live like a local", this is the real deal!! Geno's place is private, well-stocked and nicely decorated, and mere steps from a zillion-dollar, panoramic Pacific Ocean view!! No tourist traffic or crowds, just friendly locals in a neighborhood of beautiful seaside homes. We enjoyed coffee overlooking the coastline every morning, and walked to Starbucks and frozen yogurt in the village. Yet...the cottage is only 15 minutes from Santa Monica's pier, beach, restaurants and shops. Geno and his family were warm and welcoming, and we really enjoyed our stay! Thanks for the wonderful hospitality, Geno!

This spot is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. The home is directly across the street from the bluffs overlooking the ocean. The views extend from Malibu to Palos Verdes and across to Catalina. Geno is friendly and approachable. The cottage is comfortable and quiet. I was especially fond of the neighborhood and spent most evenings walking around the area. Walked to dinner on Sunset Boulevard a few times too. I highly recommend.

I LOVED staying here. Geno is a kind and outgoing host who was ready to make us feel right at home. The cottage feels like a little home; there was enough room for my two children and I without feeling cramped with the awesome layout. It is clean, well stocked and super comfortable. There is a patio outside for grilling and relaxing as well as a hammock. I would recommend this stay to anyone looking and I hope to see Geno and his sweet family again soon!

Geno was the perfect host! His cottage was clean, modern, comfortable, and exactly as pictured. But Geno provided much more than a cozy home, he offered great conversation and a very inviting atmosphere. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

I was born and raised right here at the beach in Pacific Palisades and grew up in this Williamsburg Colonial style home my father built in the 1040's. My parents both had the gift of hospitality and without a doubt it's been passed on to me. I LOVE to entertain and when my friends from all over the world come to LA I'm the designated master of ceremonies.

From Disneyland to Venice Beach to College Pubs to The Magic Castle, I have always been the straw that stirs the drinks when it comes to experiencing this town from the inside out.

I'm a single father now and my teenage son and daughter are with me on most weekends. You will be lucky and blessed if you get the chance to meet them.

I was a child actor in the 70's, played in bands as a singer/songwriter, I'm a writer and filmmaker now and I believe that very little this life is more valuable than the memories we make when we encounter and connect with other people.

I'm fascinated by great stories. It's food for my soul. I can't wait to hear yours!
