austin: i don't understand why you had such a problem with my listing. you were not honest in your original booking: you only booked for one person, when in reality you were looking for a place for 2 people. if you had been open about your intention you would have found listings that were suited to your situation. after you booked for only 1 person, you then asked about an additional space, and as i had the extra room, i offered it and stated the extra fee explicitly, and you said that was ok.
if you had such a problem with the initial cleaning fee (i have no control over how airbnb displays the cleaning fee, but it does actually cost something to clean up after people) you could have stopped the booking process and chosen another location.
and if you had an issue with the fee for the extra room, you could have easily shared the room you actually booked, as it has fit 2 guests comfortably many times before.
i work hard to communicate openly with my guests and be up front about the costs: if you are expecting free services you should be using a different platform.
