Mathilde's place is a breath of fresh air overlooking an old mansion/castle, surrounded by trees in the middle of the city. Well appointed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. An easy 10-15 min walk to all points of interest, this is a clean and quiet place to recharge and explore beautiful Oslo.

Mathilde's flat is located in a quiet area approx. 15 walking time from city center (good bus connection with the 37). There is a small grocery just around the corner and 2 supermarkets nearby. A good bakery when you cross the cemetery. The food court Oslo Mathallen is just down the hill. Apartment is big enough for 3 persons. Kitchen is super furnished. Beds are comfy. Bathroom is a little tiny but you get used to it in Scandinavia! ;-) Mathilde gave us all the informations we needed and was very responsive to our requests. A very good base to explore Oslo!

Our stay at Mathildes Apartment was overall a very pleasant experience. She is a very communcative and circumspect host. Although the apartment is in short walking distance to the city center, we found it to be a quiet and safe place to stay at. Moreover, there are several good public transport connections and the beautiful walk through the parks at the Akerselva river is nearby.

Beautiful rooftop view of the city and very convenient distance from the city center. The space was a bit small for four people, but definitely manageable and the beds were incredibly comfortable.

This apartment was beautiful and so convenient. Mathilde responded quickly to our questions and was very accommodating to our timing. My friend and I felt safe in the neighborhood and comfortable in the apartment. We would definitely stay here again when in Oslo.

The beds were super comfy, and it had a great central location. It was also much more spacious than any hotel, and Mathilde was also responsive to any questions we had. However, guests should be aware that parking is extremely difficult. Mathilde did encourage us to use public transportation rather than renting a car, but we wanted to explore Norway outside of Oslo as well, so we rented a car. There is no place to park during the day that doesn't require you to pay, and this was not made clear to us. We also were not able to get the stove or TV to work. Mathilde tried her best to help us out with these issues, and even offered to have a friend to come over and help us, but our schedules were just not conducive to this, and we never solved the problems.
