Résidence Balmat is a modern 3 bedroom apartment (88sqm) in the heart of Chamonix overlooking the town square, Place Balmat.
Very spacious, bright living room with stunning views of the Mt. Blanc range. Two large double bedrooms, a single bedroom, a fully fitted Italian kitchen, a shower room and a separate WC. Large French windows taking in the sunlight throughout the day.
HD flat screen TV, DVD, stereo receiver with an iPhone/iPad connector, cable TV with French and some English channels, and WiFi equipped. Dishwasher, laundry machine/dryer. Travel cot available for babies. All linen and towels provided. Large, private ski 'cave'/locker in the basement for storing skis/snowboards, boots, etc.
Place Balmat is Chamonix's most sought after location as it is centrally located by the pedestrian street, Rue du Docteur Paccard, amongst all of the restaurants, cafes, bars, boutiques and shops the town has to offer. As you are in the centre of town, there can be some degree of noise as you would find in any city or town. If you're looking for complete tranquility and solitude, I would suggest staying outside of town.
On-street parking or garage-covered parking nearby (3-5 min walk) although you don't need a car once you arrive. Access to the main bus stops and train station is very close for travel throughout the valley.
I am based in London but commute to Chamonix regularly and consider this my home. Ideal for couples, families, and professional adults.
You'll have access to everything with the exception of a closet which I lock my personal belongings in.
Interaction with guests
My local property manager, Justine, will be available during your stay. I will be always available by phone.
No ski/snowboard equipment, ski boots, etc. are to be left inside the apartment during your stay. Please leave the equipment in the private ski cave/locker located in the basement of the building.
No shoes in the house - please remove them upon entering the apartment to maintain the hardwood floors and keep the apartment clean during your stay.
Do not hang damp/wet clothing on the radiators - it will stain them and a deduction will be made from your deposit if they need to be repainted. Please leave damp clothing in the boiler room by the 2nd bathroom which will dry them out quickly.
Please ensure that all windows are closed, lights are shut off, and that the apartment is secure before you leave for the day.
No extra guests. 5 people max.
The apartment must be left in "good standing" at check-out. That means all rubbish should be removed from the apartment and placed in the bins by the parking lot. All counter surfaces should be wiped down and free of crumbs, food, general waste, etc. Dishwasher should be loaded and run.
