Light weight hiking chairs are provided for you to explore & relax wherever you wish. There are a number of wide, clear paths for you to follow & aerial maps are provided showing you the general routes these follow & special places & trees to investigate. Interaction with guests

We do everything we can to ensure your privacy & quiet enjoyment of the property. It is a private property, we need to know who is on it at all times for their safety. This is a working property there are livestock & there will be animal poop – watch your step! There will also be (from time to time) cattle being moved or located by four wheeler bikes & workers in the vineyard during harvest, pruning & thinning seasons. Also occasionally tractor work in vineyard for slashing or spraying – no spraying will be undertaken on any day when there is a chance of wind blowing spray near the Yurt complex.

Other things to note

Welcome to our home - Please respect the environment, facilities, 20km/hr Maximum Speed Limit & treat everything with care.
Accidents happen, let us know as soon as possible, for your own comfort & that of the next guest.
Please respect the native fauna & flora and give all creatures space to enjoy their peaceful natural surroundings. We are striving to develop an ecosystem that is supportive & welcoming of native wildlife & provides them a safe sanctuary. Please support us in our endeavours.

This is a bushland setting & there will be bugs of all varieties. We do our best to keep them out of the Yurt & Bathroom facilities & remind our guests to do the same. Keep the doors shut at all times, or you never know what might be sharing your bed or shower! We’re here to help, if you do find a bug you can’t stand as a room-mate & don’t wish to remove it yourself, give us a call.

The sounds you will mostly hear are birdsong & the breeze in the trees, however sound travels in quiet surroundings. Water is a great conductor of sound & from time to time you may hear sounds from far away which may include some traffic sounds & gunshots. This is not a regular occurrence but we don’t wish you to be alarmed if you do hear this. It may sound very close but will actually be neighbouring farmers scaring off foxes. We do not shoot on our property, nor allow anyone else to do so. If you’ve never heard a bull roar you might be forgiven for thinking someone is doing something awful to a cow, don’t be alarmed, it’s just the noise they make from time to time.

Amazing place! Much better than I was expecting. I've spent my birthday weekend there. Beautiful yurt in the middle of nature. The best thing was the night under the stars with the fire and some good local wine. Amazing experience.

Perfect place for a treat to get away from it all and experience something unique. The yurt is beautifully appointed and Geoff and Linda are excellent hosts. We were surprised to be so warm and cosy inside and there is a fire on the deck to enjoy sitting under the stars. The yurt is situated very privately on the property and you are welcome to walk and explore along the river. Easy access by car to all of the delights of the King river valley and north east region. Would thoroughly recommend. A special place for my partner's 70th birthday!

Response from Linda:
Thanks again for being such wonderful guests! We have replaced the little stove for the kettle with a proper 2 ring burner & gas bottle. Thanks very much for letting us know, it's hard to improve without valuable feedback & we really appreciate it. Cheers, Linda & Geoff

Gorgeous, romantic, secluded getaway. Great attention to detail, everything you could possibly need is provided for and more! Everything was as described and hosts were very friendly and helpful, even came to check on me after a wet night to see I was ok! Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing country holiday.

The photos of the yurt really don't do it justice! From the second we walked through the little red door of the yurt we were absolutely blown away, it was like being transported into the most zen, colourful and cozy little room. We stayed for three nights and it was the perfect getaway. Before being greeted by Geoff, Lindas husband we met two lambs born a day earlier. The property has a heap of sheep and cows, a couple of dogs and cats and lots and lots of space. It is a lovely spot and the yurt itself is close to the house but far enough away to be completely private, its fantastic. Sunrise and sunset are both amazing at the yurt, the bathroom shack is ample for an off the grid getaway. We stayed in winter and were still warm outside with the little fireplace and inside with the tent (yurt) heater. I am definitely going to recommend the yurt to my friends and family, such an amazing set up, Linda has done a great job and in the middle of wine country, theres not much more you can ask for! I will be back.

For those wanting a quiet, tranquil escape this is the place. A bright and cheery colourful yurt, certainly a one of a kind experience. Geoff greeted us an d drove us to the yurt in its secluded site on the property, all very easy. He showed us where everything was.
