Just 5 blocks SE of campus, our charming Cape Cod home & garden has an eclectic European feel. Perfect for couples, families and small groups of friends attending IU special event weekends or Jacobs School of Music events and auditions.
The house reflects many years this Bloomington native spent living in Europe and has what the Germans call "Gemutlichkeit" - a mixture of warmth, friendliness & comfort. From its original hardwood floors to the array of thriving houseplants in the sunroom & throughout the house, you will feel right at home.
The back garden is a veritable wildlife sanctuary with dozens of varieties of birds, including hummingbirds (July-September) Finches (mainly gold and purple), Woodpeckers, Robins, Nuthatches, and of course the state bird, the Cardinal. Use the pair of binoculars in the sunroom bookcase and see what others you can identify.
Guests have access to all rooms in the house, except the basement and garage.
