Interaction with guests
I am very happy to help our guests plan their stay. We know the area well and can recommend places to visit. We are keen trampers and mountain bikers so can recommend walks and biking routes in and around Wanaka. We ski at Treble Cone so can advise guests on local skiing. We are well situated for access to both Treble Cone and Cardrona. Local tourism information will be supplied in the guest room and I am very happy to advise on shopping and restaurants. Guests can stroll around our garden and paddocks and meet our very friendly pet lambs! We have some amazing attractions in and around Wanaka, including some local gems such as Puzzling World, Warbirds and Wheels and the Transport and Toy Museum.

- No skis or snowboards to be taken inside please as they mark walls and carpets. Thank you.
We moved to New Zealand from the UK in 2008 and we now live in Wanaka, one of the most beautiful places in New Zealand. We purchased 10 acres of land and built our dream home, just on the edge of Wanaka, where we can enjoy tranquility and panoramic mountain views. Travel has always been my passion, I'd explored Europe and Australia by the age of 20, went to Uni to study business with travel and tourism, and then worked in the UK travel industry. I love New Zealand because it has such stunning scenery without the crowds and is so friendly. We have met so many interesting people travelling around NZ in the last 9 years. We love being outdoors and NZ is perfect for that as we are lucky to have both amazing countryside and good weather. The 4 of us all mountain bike, ski through the winter, hike/tramp and one of our sons is also a triathlete. Wanaka is mountain biking and triathlon heaven so we are very lucky to call it home! I also enjoy gardening and have planted an orchard of 40 heritage fruit trees, which our home overlooks, as well as extensive vegetable and fruit gardens in my attempt to become self sufficient! My aim is to grow our own organic food. My sons bottle fed 4 lambs in the spring, so we now have a bunch of very friendly, grown up lambs, who just love visitors and sprint over to say hello and follow us everywhere! They follow our boys as they start their mountain bike to school, across our paddocks! We also have 3 'wild' ewes, who will hopefully be having lambs of their own in the spring, so our flock will be growing. My extensive travels around the world, both with my work and many holiday adventures, have taken me to amazing places where I have met so many interesting people. I am really looking forward to hosting fellow travellers in Wanaka and helping them get the most out of their holiday by sharing my local knowledge, from the best places to visit, most scenic walks and exciting mountain bike tracks. I have experienced all styles of travelling, from budget back packing around Europe and Australia as a teenager, to staying in luxury hotels in the Caribbean and US as part of my job. Since living In New Zealand we have camped extensively with our boys as they've grown up, and like being around other people, being sociable as opposed to the impersonal hotel and motel experience.
