Our stay at Raquel’s was enjoyable for several reasons. First, the location of the house is very convenient if you are looking for quick transportation to San Francisco. The BART will take you there and back for around $7.00. Second, Raquel is really fun to chat with and get to know. Her philosophy on learning what she can from every life situation, and seeking adventure wherever she finds herself is both inspirational and enriching. Last, the other travelers in the house were enjoyable to learn from and get to know. We met people from literally all over the world during our stay. The only heads-up that I would give is that what you see is quite simply what you get. Each room has four beds in it, and you share the room with other travelers. Beyond the room is a kitchen that has the basics, and nothing more. If you are a low-maintenance traveler (who DOESN’T SNORE), then this is a good spot for you.

The place is right at the train station so it doesn't take long to get to San Francisco. We didn't feel comfortable in the area but we didn't spend a lot of time there. The bathrooms could be cleaner and there were ants in the bedroom. There was no air conditioning in the room. It was really warm at night so we had to keep the windows open. The host was staying at the place but only communicated with us via text message. One of the staff members welcomed us very nicely and made sure he was there if we needed anything.

Easy check-in, AMAZING location, and safe place to park your rental car right by the BART, or better yet, just arrive here straight from the airport without even needed to book any transportation at all.

Raquel's place is very close to a metro station which brings you directly to downtown San Francisco. The area is ok and if you do not want to spend too much money and are ok with sleeping with strangers in one room, this is a good opportunity to stay in the San Francisco area. However, you should not have a problem with some bugs/ants, if you want to stay at this place.

It was like a hostel, so you share the room with other people. But everything was fine and Raquel really cares about her guests. Moreover you can reach SF really fast :)
