Our carriage house is located in a quiet neighborhood in Seagrove Beach. It has two bedrooms - one with a queen bed and one with a twin trundle bed. The house can accommodate 3 adults or 2 adults and two small children.
We are located 2 short blocks east of Seaside and 2 blocks north of 30A (the main beach road) in Old Seagrove. This cute carriage house is in separate building on our property. We live in main house full time but you will have complete privacy in the guest house.
There is off-street parking for one car. It is located on the right side of the garage at the bottom of the driveway. Please pull all the way up in the parking space so we can get our golf cart out of the small garage.
The beach can be reached by turning left out of our driveway, then turning right on Dogwood Street, then walking 2 blocks to Hwy 30A and then turn left. The beach walkover is located 100 feet down on the south side of the road (the Walton County Dogwood/Thyme Beach Access).
Seaside can be reached by turning right out of our driveway and walking two short blocks into the town of Seaside. The downtown area can be reached by following the road as it bends, then turning left onto Seaside Avenue and walking 3 blocks into the middle of town.
Interaction with guests
We are available for questions anytime but we will leave you alone if you so desire. Please knock on our door or text with any questions you have during your stay.
Other things to note
Shopping and restaurants in Seaside are a short 5 minute walk from our cottage. Modica Market is a favorite spot for purchasing groceries and prepared food and is located in Seaside. There is also a large Publix supermarket located one mile away on Hwy 395 just a short drive north of the Forest Street/395 intersection.
Bicycles and beach chairs are NOT supplied by us but can be rented through several rental companies in our area. Bicycles and other beach equipment can be picked up at the equipment rental company offices nearby or delivered directly to our cottage.
Check out Treasure in Paradise. They sell ($5) or give away used beach equipment. Try to get it there when you arrive and then just drop it off when you leave. They will give you store credit for bringing in beach equipment that is in good shape. Low cost and convenient. The ultimate in recycling. Located in Grayton Beach. Just a 10 minute drive (going west on Hwy 30A) from our cottage. They are in Grayton Beach Plaza, a quarter mile north of Hwy 30A on Hwy 283 on the right side of the road just past Logan Lane and the Shops of Grayton. It is open every day except Sunday from 10am until 5pm. The address is 1414 Hwy 283 S., Grayton Beach, FL 32459.
You must be 25 years old to reserve this cottage. We live in the main house and this is a residential neighborhood so please be quiet after 10pm. There is a county ordinance that will be enforced by the county sheriff if there is any loud noice after 10:00 pm. Thank you for your cooperation.
The listing shows the maximum guests is 3 adults. The small bedroom has a twin trundle bed so there is room for an additional small child on the lower trundle bed. But the room gets crowded with 2 people sleeping in it so make sure you understand what you're getting into.
We have an outdoor black cat (Blackie) who thinks she owns the place. She is very curious so she will want to check out who's here but she will ignore you unless you want to pet her - then all bets are off.
