The Historic Shearers Quarters are located 11 kms from SH1, on a working farm that has remained in the family for four generations. We are based in the beautiful Kawhatau Valley. A unique accommodation in the heart of the Rangitikei.
Light the old shacklock stove, sit back and enjoy peace and quiet- all while only 10 mins from the superb Dukes Roadhouse Cafe.
Please note this is a Historic Shearer's Quarters. If you have mobility issues please be aware there are no ramps and only steps.

The space
One of a kind historic accommodation on a working sheep and beef farm in restored historic Shearers Quarters built in 1904.

Guest access
Guests can walk over the farm once permission is gained from the owners.

Other things to note
Please advise the number of rooms required.
Due to safety, in the winter the use of the old fireplace is not permitted when children are staying.
Normal farm activities will be carried out whilst guests are staying ie. shearing stock handling and farm vehicle movements.
Guest are asked to keep away from all implement sheds, tractors, poison shed and workshop areas.
Please note this is a Historic Shearer's Quarters. If you have mobility issues there are no ramps only steps.
