About this listing

This description was automatically translated from Italian using Google Translate and may not be completely accurate.

Apartment in the Historical Center of Palermo in the unique atmosphere of the Conte Federico Historical Palace, just a few steps from the Royal Palace, the Palatine Chapel, the Cathedral, the Ballarò Market and the Quattro Canti, which divides the City into 4.

The space

The apartment is well-divided: the mezzanine with the sofa bed can be divided by the other rooms through a curtain if you want more privacy. The kitchen is small but independent of the living room. There are two steps to access the mezzanine and lounge. The bedroom is spacious. In general it is in a very quiet area.

Guest access

Guests have access to the entire apartment and the internal courtyard at the entrance of the building. To visit the whole building you have to book a guided tour (you can go to the ticket office in front of the building). The building is not equipped with a lift and is located on the second floor, but the steps are low and wide.

Interaction with guests

We will be available throughout the stay and for any event.

Eliana and her family (her brother and father) warmly welcomed me to their apartment in the 16th Century palace of Conte Federico in the centre of Old Town Palermo It is the little touches in this place which made it a very comfortable home for my visit. From the delicious pastries and cold water on my arrival to the coffee machine in the kitchen and toiletries in the bathroom, the effort Eliana went to in making me feel comfortable and at home was very much appreciated. This is a historical building, which means many beautiful architectural features and a spacious layout with two separate living rooms, a bedroom, as well as a dining room off the well-equipped kitchen. There are some restrictions due to the architectural time period. For example, no elevator, low ceilings and a small shower stall. These embellishments just add to the charm of staying in this gorgeous building and are well balanced with modern amenities including a comfortable bed, hot showers, air conditioning and excellent wifi. It's the best of both worlds. Because of the solid stone 16th Century construction, the apartment is well insulated and cool, with good cross-breezes when the windows are open. Even in the middle of the day in a heat wave (34C) I didn't need to turn the A/C on. Besides the incredibly central location, it is really the hospitality of Eliana and her family that makes this place special. She had maps and information about local sights and recommendations for places to eat ready on my arrival, and arranged for my drop off at the airport by her boyfriend and his brother on my departure. I felt a part of the family, for really great value for money and with the privacy of my own apartment. I highly recommend Eliana and her palace in Palermo!

Eliana's place is in a historical charming location. directly in the center. few minutes walk from the main tourist atractions and the big lively market that offers very high quality vegetables and fruits among other things. The apartment was very clean and was equiped with everything you might need and the wonderful hosts greeted me with a very friendly smile and very tasty cakes as well as providing information about the surrowndings, tourist attractions and maps. I had a great week and recommend the stay very warmly.

Charming little mezzanine flat in an historic palazzo, with wooden-beamed low ceilings; very well-appointed, central but quiet. Ideal position for visiting all the sights. I was very happy there, and would definitely recommend it - though perhaps I should mention that the good hot shower is in a tiny cubicle so not ideal for a large person!

I absolutely loved staying at Eliana's place. She made me feel exceptionally welcome and even met me at the station to take me to the apartment. The apartment itself is in the historic Palace of Count Federico. It is spacious and comfortable, and Eliana made certain it had all the comforts of home, including a coffee machine with a variety of coffee pods. She was always on call and responded immediately to every need. The wifi was excellent. This was undoubtedly one of my best Airbnb experiences. I highly recommend Eliana as a host and her wonderful apartment.
