Hello we stayed 2 of the 3 nights we payed for at Johns place. So... the good the bad and the ugly! Sounds like a movie and it kind of was haha. GOOD: The location in St Kilda is superb, a short stroll from great eateries, shops and pubs and the tram just outside the gate. There is a fabulous Sunday market too. Our host Johnny was friendly, funny & down to earth. Great communication up to check in. He's very busy though & this showed straight away with the room not being made up on our arrival after 7pm (he did offer though). John lives in another apartment & this one is sublet and there doesn't appear to be an incentive for the tenants to maintain a high standard of cleanliness although it is quite tidy (I hope you understand). So I guess it depends what your expectations are. BAD: You have to go outside and put an extension cord through the window to operate the hutub. My initial appraisal is the location may not be so safe to leave the window ajar whilst naked and indulging in the hotub:^/ But who knows?? Also strange but not actually bad, the light switch to the bedroom light is in the hallway. Personally, I was not happy with the accumulation of dust and hair beside the bed, the hair on the side of the bath, the mould, toothbrush and old razors on the shower floor, the old wet facecloth left behind the sink tap, the very dirty dishcloth or the historic crumbs & mouse poo in the kitchen draws. I decided to let these things go as John is a great guy and he's really busy after all! Plus we were eating out anyway and had our own tea and milk etc. UGLY: On Saturday night the tenants went out and came home at about 6am on Sunday morning very intoxicated. The female was vomiting violently for about 15min into the toilet on the other-side of the bedroom wall and when we got up to make a cup of tea the male climbed into our bed!!!!! He was naked and very drunk. It was difficult for me to get him to leave as he was incoherent. There is a lock on the bedroom door we just didn't appreciate we had to lock it whist making a cup of tea. Lesson learned:-D We left soon after and found alternitive accommodation. It was disappointing that Johhny did not see these things as an issue and thought maybe we just went looking for dust???? So there you have it in a nutshell. If you like to go out and have several drinks and party or you are not bothered by a bit of dust, hair, mouse poo and nudity you'll have a blast!!!! And if that's not your thing, you'll have a great story to tell your friends afterwards:-O Sorry Johnny, no hard feelings, we did really enjoy meeting you!
