We welcome visitors from all walks of life, all countries, of every origin, and the differently-abled. Our two-room suite is great for individuals, couples, families, and medical travelers. Two beautiful whippets live here. Our house, with 30 foot trees in a fenced yard, is located in a quiet cul-de-sac in Midtown, a few minutes from everything in Anchorage, and right on the edge of U-Med. We can pick you up from the airport if you are not renting a car.

The space

This is a two-room locking, private suite. One room is a bedroom with comfortable queen bed, the other a living area with kitchenette and cable TV. This room also has a futon that folds out to a double bed. For families, a Pack 'n Play can be provided.
Coffee/tea and a light breakfast is served in the main kitchen on your timeline.

Guest access

Guests can access a ground level private entry, the main kitchen for breakfast, the deck, and the yard.

Interaction with guests

Jim was born in Alaska and was a commercial fisherman for many years. PJ came up in 1994 and worked as an educator in villages in Bush Alaska. We have great Alaskan stories, but will only share if you would like and have time. The whippets are friendly, cuddly, and run like the wind. They will be kept out of your private area.

Other things to note

PJ's place is fantastic. The bed is VERY comfortable. The shower is large and has lots of hot water. She left snacks and was very communicative. Highly recommend.

The rooms were exactly as pictured and they were perfect for our stay. The fridge was stocked with a few snacks and drinks upon our arrival, the bathroom had a lovely shower and big soft towels and the bedroom was spacious and comfy. We were in town for medical reasons and this house was perfectly situated for our needs. It was in a quiet neighborhood but yet the hospital, clinics, restaurants, grocery stores, and health food stores were all an easy 5 minute drive away. Having a TV room and bathroom that were separate from the bedroom was amazing for us, given our situation. PJ and Jim were friendly, respectful, and very accommodating! We would not hesitate at all in booking another stay with them.

My family motto is "Per Ardua." It means "through difficulties," but I prefer this one, "All I need to know is in my mind and in my heart."
