The space

Hello! Come stay in our beautiful furnished bedroom (10x12) in a cute three bedroom apartment in a brick rowhouse.

The building is located in Greenpoint, a safe and vibrant neighborhood, in North Brooklyn. It's quiet enough to relax but still have enough going to to never have to leave the hood. But, if you're so inclined to leave, you have Williamsburg to the south, East Williamsburg/Bushwick to the east and Long Island City, Queens to the north.

Apartment Details:

-All utilities included + WiFi is available in the apartment
-Large cozy living room/dining area
-Kitchen and bathroom (you will have your own drawers/spaces for your belongs/food)
-Kitchen use- Pots, pans, plate, utensils and basic condiments/spices are provided
-Clean towels and linens are provided
-Smoking is NOT allowed anywhere in the apartment or the building

It's a 5 min walk to the G train (@Nassau) and a 10 min to the L train (@Bedford). Takes 30 mins to get to Manhattan from the apartment. Also near a number of bus lines including the B(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN).

There's the most beautiful bike path that runs along the East River from Greenpoint all the way down to Brooklyn Heights, and is accessible to all major bridges into Manhattan and Queens.

If you have a car, parking in the area is not a problem and we are right off the BQE (we do not have a car, so that's the best info I can come up with).

More about Greenpoint:

We are situated in the heart of Polish Greenpoint. Nearby are many grocery stores, laundromats, delis, pizza shops, coffee shops, restaurants and dive bars on surrounding Driggs, Nassau and Norman Avenues. Just a block away is the gorgeous McGolrick Park, which we adore.

Manhattan Ave is where you can find an assortment of "mom & pop" Polish supermarkets, pharmacy and specialty stores including a couple of great skincare/herbal shops, an amazing Cheese & Beer store, bakeries and pizza parlors.

While on Franklin street you'll find cool original and vintage clothing/furniture stores, cute European cafes with quaint outdoor areas and the occasional music store also selling vinyl records with a tattoo parlor next to it.

The apartment is a block away from a gorgeous park and the Greenpoint Farmer's Market is every Sunday!

I stayed in the room for about 2 months, and I had a lovely experience interacting with Victoria and living in the Greenpoint neighborhood. Easy, comfortable, quiet, safe, and fun Brooklyn living. There is a lot of natural light and the a/c and fan worked great all summer. It is pretty quiet for New York, and the wifi is fantastic. The room has storage space under the bed, in the dresser, and in the small closet. There is also space in both the kitchen and bathroom to store a few personal items. Shops are steps from the front door, McGolrick Park and laundromats are around the corner, and the G and L trains are about 10 and 20 minute walks away. It is also a great location for walking to Williamsburg restaurants/bars, Smorgasburg, McCarren Park, Transmitter Park, and the shops in Greenpoint along the East River. MoMA PS1 is also only 2 stops away on the G train. Even Midtown and the Financial District were easy to commute to/explore if you are willing to grab a couple of trains.

I stayed with Victoria for 6 weeks and it was perfect; she’s a wonderful person that’s on top of anything that you might need, great to talk to, overall, a lovely host. The place is exactly as pictured with beautiful lighting, it’s very calm and located in a great area with everything (Subway and bus stations, stores, parks, restaurants...) nearby. I would recommend staying here 100%; if you want to enjoy crazy-busy-NY, be part of the vibrant atmosphere of Brooklyn and go back to a quiet place that feels like home... this is it.

Victoria went out of her way to make sure I had a comfortable check in - she left work early and helped me with my suitcases up the stairs. If I had any questions, she always responded quickly via text message. The location is excellent with easy walking distance to two subways which made it easy to get in and out of Manhattan. There are also some really great cafes, bars and restaurants in the neighbourhood! All up it was a great place to get a feel for Brooklyn!

Victoria is the perfect host. I stayed at her apartment for two months and Victoria's impeccable hospitality made me feel completely at home. She is responsive and helpful, a really easygoing housemate who is both fun to hang with and respects your privacy. In terms of the flat itself, it's at the heart of Greenpoint, Brooklyn. You will be a short walk away from two beautiful parks (farmer's market on the weekend), lovely brunch spots (Five Leaves), good vintage shopping (Beacon's Closet) and great night life (a stone's throw from Williamsburg bars). It's also very close to the Nassau St subway (G train line). In other words, the perfect location and a wonderful stay. Highly recommended!

Victoria is a very nice person. I sayed there for 3 weeks. We were both very busy but we spent some time together. One very nice afterhour evening talking and drinking. Victoria loves to cook and she always offered me something to try. Very sweet! I liked the place a lot. The area is great. Greenpoint is my favorite area in New York. Not fare away from the Subway, Yoga to the people, bars, cafés, restaurants. I would defenetly say, stay at Victorias place! :)
