A restored fermette, set in a tranquil hamlet with no through traffic. We named it Maison des Crécerelles after the family of kestrels that nest next to the house every year. It's a comfortable family house with a large garden and a wonderful place to recharge your batteries and enjoy beautiful countryside and huge skies. We also share our space with our beloved alpacas. Sitting at the boundaries of Normandy, Brittany and the Pays de la Loire, it's easy to explore the best of North West France.

We loved our stay at Pam and Stuart's place. It was everything we had hoped it would be and so much more. The house has a very welcoming and relaxed vibe just like a home away from home and this is matched by Pam's friendliness (sadly we didn't get to meet Stuart this trip). The house is in a very rural setting which was absolutely perfect for us, no city noise and peace and quiet. If you do feel the urge to leave the house then there are plenty of places nearby to explore. We would not hesitate to recommend Pam and Stuart's place to others and can't wait for the opportunity to return ourselves.

Maison la crecerelles is a lovely cosy little cottage, set in the beautiful Normandy countryside. It's a charming secluded retreat 2-3 miles from the village of couesmes-vauce. The house is lovely and with two lovely bedrooms, it's just the right size for a small family. The owner, Pam, was extremely friendly and helpful and even took our 3 year old son to feed the 5 alpacas in the field at the bottom of the garden. The house has lots of garden toys to enjoy in the large private garden and the kitchen is very well equipped with everything you could need for cooking/dining. Pam had kindly provided a few supplies in the fridge for us. The local village doesn't offer much in the way of restaurants or shops/supermarkets so the house is best suited to those with their own transport. The bathroom has been recently refurbished and offers a very good shower and a bath. Overall we had a wonderful holiday and we would love to stay again.

We really feel that we struck gold finding this lovely house, which exceeded all our expectations. The house is a good size, well equipped, nicely decorated and very quiet. The rural setting is beautiful, with cows across the road and alpacas in the back garden! Pam was wonderfully kind and accommodating and went out of her way to help us out when we needed it, but otherwise we had total privacy. Our two young children absolutely loved our time here - as did we. We really found it a home from home and hope to return again soon.

We spent a week at Pam’s cottage and we really enjoyed our stay. The house is very well equipped, nice and tidy. The surroundings is extremely relaxing and if that wouldn’t be enough Pam is an amazing host. She took a great care of us making sure we have everything we need during our stay. We would definitely recommend Maison des Crecerelles and we hope we could be back again. Thanks a lot Pam again!

We spend four wonderful weeks in the this lovely house in the middle of the countryside. The house was much bigger than we expected. Two large bedrooms upstairs and living room and kitchen downstairs. We enjoyed very much the quiet surroundings. Our kids (7 and 1,5 years old) really loved the alpacas. Feeding the alpacas was highlight of the day. In the backyard there is also enough space to play football, boules and other games or having a dinner watching sun setting down.

Lovely stay in a beautifully peaceful cottage at the end of a quiet county lane - the perfect place to relax and escape to. Pam and Stuart were fantastic hosts; from a fridge full of goodies to fresh flowers on the kitchen table, to a walk together into the field next to the cottage to feed the alpacas (and Chris the sheep!) with our 2 year old and 4 month old. Can't wait to come back! Fab, fab, fab.

Stuart is an award winning Film Editor. Having studied zoology at university, he's the one who brought in our gorgeous alpacas. Pam runs an audio production company and lectures at a London university.

As a family, we've loved our little hamlet for years; it's where our London born children learned to ride their bikes and enjoy the freedom of the countryside.
Over the years it's been a perfect place to recharge our batteries and we hope you'll feel the same.
