Everything was as described and pictured. Joanna responded to all of my questions and concerns. I was delayed on my arrival and she was flexible and had arrangements for us to be able to gain access in the event she was not home upon our arrival.
The room as in the front of the house and although car parking is only a few feet away, even with the window open I was not bothered by noise. The house was very quiet, clean and still had a homey feel to it.
It is in a nice, quiet neighborhood not too far off of Lake Tahoe Blvd (the main drag/street). Close to restaurants and stores and not too far from the casinos on the other end Lake Tahoe Blvd.
We had fresh clean linens and towels. She had a wonderful coconut/lavender salt hand scrub in the bathroom. There is nice jetted tub in the bathroom that I wish I had more time to indulge in! I didn't ask, but I'm assuming it works and available our use. There was nice cozy living room with a tv that we had access to, but never used it. There is a little deck out back, but when we looked outside at night, just too many flying insects for my taste and we just decided to skip it. I didn't see a fire pit (may not be allowed) or anything like that, but a couple of chairs and a little side table.
I needed an iron for a shirt that was wrinkled and Joanna had no problem allowing us to use her iron and ironing board. She offered us wine or beer from the fridge after we arrived while we were freshening up. The next morning she made coffee and offered us some as well. She was very nice and I felt comfortable and safe staying in her home for the night. This was a last minute, night before booking and she responded first thing in the morning and confirmed very quickly. I will stay here again when come back for another visit.
