Staying at this place felt like a beautiful escape. It was steps from the private Long Bay beach and in a great location. I loved that it was on Long Bay beach instead of Grace Bay beach which was a 10 minute drive away. Our beach was equipped with a deck filled with kayaks and long boards. This was definitely a plus. There was never anyone on the beach with us. When we wanted a more touristy beach with banana boats and other adventurous water sports we went to Grace Bay. Upon arrival Majid's lovely wife gave us a quick tour of the island and ride to the grocery store. Renting a car is a must if you want to explore the island beyond Sea La Vie. Majid and his wife are really nice people. I would definitely come here again and again. Perfect for couples.

My fiance and I stayed here while attending a wedding. The property is a short walk from the beach, where guests have access to a shaded platform with chairs and beach activities. The beach itself is quiet and secluded. The neighborhood is made up of large lots, many, if not most of which, are undeveloped. The room is spacious and clean and as reflected in the photos. We used the kitchen daily, which was well appointed to cook breakfast. We had salt and pepper and coffee (presumably from prior guests) already in our cabinets, which we welcomed. Our room also had a grill on the patio, so we could have easily made dinner as well. There are two ac units (one in the living room and one in the bedroom), which cooled the apartment well. After a shower, the bathroom felt a little stuffy, but it wasn't unbearable. The bathroom has hand soap but there weren't any toiletries so be sure to bring shampoo, conditioner and soap. We had one issue where the electric lock to our room stop working (it's digital pin number entry). Majid promptly came to our assistance (even though he was away) and fixed it for us, even switching out his own lock to ours. If you have an issue, he lives on property so you can ring his doorbell and he'll be able to assist you or talk to you wherever he is via Ring (tip: if he's cutting in and out, just finish saying what you need and he'll get the full message). Majid was super nice, and it was clear he wanted to make sure we were comfortable during our stay - welcoming us warmly and then checking in later. Also, Peter was great - he was super helpful pointing out the sites on our way from the airport and was very considerate when we had a passport misplacing on the way back to the airport. We rented one of the small Nissan four door cars they have on the property - it was right hand drive and automatic (you'll notice there's a mix of right and left hand drive cars on the island, which drives on the left side). The $50/day was probably slightly above renting at the airport, but it was super convenient to have a ride via Peter from and to the airport, and to not have to budget time to pick-up and drop-off a car at a rental place. We paid cash at the end of our stay for the car. The last half mile of the drive to Sea La Vie is unpaved, it's totally driveable in a sedan, but it's bumpy and has some potholes to avoid in places. I'd recommend having a car while staying at Sea La Vie in order to pick up groceries or visit Grace Bay, which is about a 10 minute drive away, or venture around other parts of the island. Overall, our stay here was lovely.
