Enjoy peace and breathtaking views across Devon countryside from a perfect stone cottage. The place to rest and recuperate. Take a short drive to beaches, nearby towns and villages or walk through the kind of quiet only remote countryside can offer. Sleep in darkness lit by the moon and stars. Wake refreshed to birdsong, watch sheep with their lambs and enjoy pub lunches or eat in your own private garden. Relax in front of the log burner. Dogs and children welcome but mind the peacocks.
The cottages were originally stone farm outbuildings. The Cider House served the apple orchard which occupied what is now the paddock below the cottages. They are surrounded by fields sometimes with grazing sheep with their lambs. A bridleway runs through the farm with occasional walkers passing. Books, DVDs, a TV and toys are in the cottage.
The whole cottage and back garden are for your use. There is a large shared front garden and parking space. You are free to wander in the nearby fields which form part of the farm. From every window there is a lovely view. In the evenings there is a log burner to curl up in front of.
Interaction with guests
Our accommodation is separate with an entrance a short walk away. We are usually around at weekends.
Other things to note
The nearest shop is a mile away so come prepared with the food you need for your first meal.
There is tea, washing up liquid, soap and toilet rolls already in the cottage.
We have two peacocks which are fun to watch and there is a barn owl and usually lots of sheep. The water is very soft so great for hair washing. The cottage is powered by electricity and there is a log burner in the sitting room.
