Soaring timber frame home perched on edge of National Forest. Great room features granite fireplace and seats by the fire. Room for three couples or two small families. Close to boating, horseback, zip lining, hiking, antiques, farm to table dining. High quality construction by master builder. Private five acres lot with easy access by car. Laundry room, full kitchen, all linens provided.
This is our private vacation home we are sharing with you. We ask that you do not smoke or bring pets. This is a stand alone property with no manager on site. It is perfect for quiet getaways, as a launch pad for outdoor outings, such as hiking and fly fishing. You will have responsibilities for taking your trash to local recycling center and stripping the beds so the maid can prepare it for the next guests. As there are bears in the vicinity, rules about trash are very important. Parties larger than eight need to reserve a larger property.
The grill, the trail to the creek, the wifi, the board games, all kitchen supplies and linens, the wraparound deck, the hammock, the outdoor fire pit.
Interaction with guests
I am easily accessible by text and email, and have a property manager who checks in with long term guests of two weeks or more.
Other things to note
This home is central to excellent fly fishing, the best hiking in the southeast, and the super fun towns of Clayton, Highlands, NC, Helen, and the marinas of Lake Burton.
Please make sure you take trash that does not fit in garbage can on back porch due to bears. Also please run the dishwasher and wash a load of towels. The maid cleans properties in that are really far apart, this being the mountains, and the load of towels saves her an hour. Also, this is a stand alone rural property that has no trash pick-up, but there is a fabulous trash/recycling center nearby on Charlie Mountain Road.
