Great check-in experience
100% of recent guests gave the check-in process a 5-star rating.
The rural nature of the property makes for a relaxing 'get away from it all' stay. You will wake up to birds singing and often see peacocks, pheasants or wild turkeys passing by the front deck. The calmness and tranquility offer peace and stillness for you to unwind.

Small dogs will be considered on application. Please note there is no fencing on the property.

The space
This is a comfortable two bedroom home set on one and a half acres of lawn, gardens and native bush. The main lounge, dining and kitchen are all open plan and there is a spacious master bedroom with ensuite bathroom and a small office off to one side. The second bedroom has it's own private lounge and separate access directly into the main bathroom which is also home to the laundry. There is an outdoor clothesline.
There is ample covered decking to allow for outdoor living with extensive views of surrounding farmland.

There is a carport to shelter your vehicle from the weather. Sitting down the property close to the bush is a small cabin, which is off the grid, so ideal for meditating or relaxing away from the main house.

The house is surrounded by farmland and makes for a wonderful retreat. It is a great place to explore the surrounding region including Whakapirau, Pahi, Tinopai, Matakohe Kauri Museum, Dargaville and wild Baileys Beach. Waipoua Forest, Whangarei and Mangawhai Heads are also popular areas worth visiting.

If you are after some peace and quiet, this is definitely the right place for you. It is a wonderful retreat and a great place to reconnect with nature and escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.

This is a rural setting and the nearest small town is Maungaturoto which is a 15-20 minute drive away. There are no restaurants of any significance for evening meals so a stay at Soul Haven is more suited to self catering.

I have a sense of adventure and yet follow a sacred approach to life which means I find pleasure in the peaceful surroundings of my rural retreat, Soul Haven. I enjoy cooking and am an energy healer and currently am the full time carer for my elderly mother. I am a great traveler and have lived in Egypt, England and Australia. My heart is in Aotearoa, New Zealand and I welcome you to my special place.
