Our beach house is located on green hill pond - just a short kayak or bike ride to the beach. It is on a peaceful salt water pond connected by a breach way to the ocean. The community is quiet, but has all of the essentials, like the bakery, restaurant, ice cream shop and small grocery store just down the road. You could start your day with breakfast on the deck by the water, take a kayak ride to spend the day at the beach and come back to wind down by the wood stove.

The space

Our house has a great sized deck overlooking the water, a dock on the pond, tons of natural light from the many windows that also provide spectacular views of the water, plenty of parking, outdoor shower and everything you could need in town just down the road. The public beach is less than a mile away!

Other things to note

Our home is a cozy house situated directly on the water in a quaint little Rhode Island town. We love our water views, spending time on our deck and relaxing on the beach during the day. We hope that you enjoy it as well!

Pam is the most helpful host one could whish for! She'll do just anything for her guests!! We had a smaller issue that had to be dealed with and she offered to come right away! She's not at all hard to deal with, on the contrary she's very easy going and also very hospitable. There's not a lot of house rules that makes you afraid of doing something wrong because she puts a lot of trust in her guests, The veranda is absolutely gorgeous and spacious and a lovely place to relax.

The house is spacious and has an amazing view of the water from the living room area and the large deck. Big windows offer lots of natural light. The bedrooms upstairs are also a good size. If you are planning to cook, the house has most of the basics you'll need (cutlery, pots, pans, grill.) The grill had plenty of propane, which is always appreciated. The upstairs shower had low water pressure, but we found the downstairs shower and bath to be better (and larger.) Other than the bath, we did not use the downstairs living area. The house is in a nice low traffic neighborhood perfect for walking or riding a bike.

We had a wonderful stay at Pam's cozy cottage. We woke up to beautiful sunrises over the pond. We were happy to find 2 single and 1 double kayak available to use and spent some time kayaking on the pond. The house was very comfortable and clean. The Charlestown Beach is a 6 minute bike or car ride (there are different routes for biking & driving) from the house or a 20 minute walk. They charge $20 to park until 5 pm, after that it is free. There is a state beach a little farther down the road that charged $12 (out of state) $7 (in state) to park until 4 pm. We had the opportunity to attend an event at the nearby observatory for the eclipse. We found out too late that they have stargazing events on Friday & Saturday nights. If you have time take the 40 minute drive to Newport and go on the Cliff Walk, it is incredible. The mini-super is a small grocery store about 5 minutes away by car or you can take a 15 minute drive north to the Stop and Shop in Narragansett. We definitely enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay again if we plan to go back to the area.

We absolutely LOVED the all-encompassing water views from the deck at Pam's place - it's truly one of the best views we've ever had at an AirBnB. Her house is in a gorgeous location, central to many of Rhode Island's best beaches. We checked out the town beach, East Beach, and, our favorite, Misquamicut. There's a great restaurant/ice cream shop/bakery 2 minutes away, which we made sure to visit. Pam's place had all the amenities we needed except for towels, which she kindly reminded us to bring. The two bedrooms on the second floor worked well for me and my wife and our two young daughters. While there was another bedroom spot and full bathroom on the first floor of Pam's place, we didn't spend much time down there because of a musty/mildewy smell. While there was a dehumidifier on the first floor, it's not hooked up to any kind of drain, and was full when we arrived. I emptied the water and ran it and it filled up completely in a few hours. Aside from the first floor - which we were glad we did not need to stay on - the rest of Pam's place is cozy and comfortable, with wonderful views and good ventilation thanks to the many windows on the second floor. If you're looking to visit Rhode Island, want water views, and only need two bedrooms, Pam's place would be hard to top!

Beautiful, quiet location with gorgeous views of salt pond and beyond to the ocean. House has space for family together-time and is also large enough for personal time. It's about 3 miles by car to the town beach ($20 parking), or a beautiful 1-1.5 mile walk. Definitely recommend this place!

Pam's place is wonderfully located with gorgeous views. If we come back to the area, we would love to stay again. It was spacious and well equipped. It wasn't until the last day that I noticed that there was shoreline access to the water down the street, though we loved walking down the dock behind the house. We enjoyed the views, the space and the outside shower. The Bakery Cafe down the street had magnificent baked goods. Pam communicated clearly and responded to any questions that we had in a timely manner. Thanks for everything, Pam.
