Our home is in a renovated building constructed in the 90s. We are bang smack in the heart of Neukölln with an S-Bahn station right next door, so it really is a gateway to Berlin.
You have complete access to a bike to explore even further. We have plenty of information on what to do and see and are willing to even share our secrets!

The space

Our home is open-plan with a big, light living area and a balcony. We have a communal garden where children play and birds sing.
You are welcome to cook your own meals, and if we are all at home and hungry, we can join forces and eat together.
We have a baby boy born on Halloween 2016 who is a cheeky one. He can definitely keep you entertained!
Nearby are cafes, restaurants, bars, markets, parks and the S-Bahn station to take you to other parts of the city.

Guest access

You have complete access to the flat. Feel at home and don't worry about us. We will do our thing and you are welcome to become one of the family or do your own thing. It's your trip!
The only room that's 'off limits' is our bedroom. But that's probably obvious :-)

Interaction with guests

If we are home you are definitely welcome to hang out. If you want to keep to yourself that is fine by us. We love to have people around and often have friends popping in and out.
We are always available to answer any questions and help you in any way we can. You might need to extend your trip if we get carried away giving you recommendations of what to do... there's just so much!

Other things to note

As we mentioned we have a baby. You won't be expected to change nappies or babysit (unless you want to ;-)), but just don't be scared if a small person starts climbing over you or tries to eat your belongings.

Leen, Olof and Otis are really great hosts. I felt really welcome. They also gave me a lot of useful advice how to make the most of my stay. At the same time I never felt like they want to convince to do anything. Thanks a lot guys!

I had a great time staying at Leen's place. I was out most of the time but whenever I saw them Leen and her partner made me feel very welcome and at home. Their flat is an ideal base for anyone wishing to explore Berlin. Highly recommended!

Best. Air BNB. Experience. Ever. From pre-trip communication to the moment I set foot and left their apartment, Olaf and Leen (and baby Otis) were the most hospitable and down to earth hosts. There really aren't words to describe how homey and welcoming this family makes you feel-I didn't feel like a first-time visitor to Berlin, I felt like I was part of their cute little family. We did yoga together in their living room, we had a cozy little BBQ on their balcony and I just loved playing and snuggling with baby Otis. The apartment is so clean and tidy despite having a new baby in the apartment. The room is spacious enough to sleep and unroll a yoga mat for some early morning yoga! The metro line is literally around the corner yet because the bedroom faces the courtyard side of the building, it is so quiet. So you get the best of both worlds, close to public transit yet quiet for a god night's sleep. Although a bit more residential, there's a couple grocery stores within a few minutes walk along with some happening bars and restaurants as well. If I could give them more than 5 stars I totally would. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Leen and Olof are very kind and friendly hosts! The room was clean and comfortable, and being able to borrow a bike made exploring the city easy. The apartment is also convenient to get to via bus from Schönefeld airport. Recommended for anyone who would want to avoid the more tourist-heavy areas for a quiet neighborhood.

I am from England, and live with my Swedish husband and baby boy in Berlin. When I travel I am more interested in trying to get a feel of what it is like to live somewhere than seeing 'the sites'. I love local markets, cafes, parks and all the little things that make a location w…
