About this listing

Well-equipped, spacious, single family home just seconds from Johns Hopkins, walking distance to "The Avenue" for vibrant shopping and dining, a short walk to the Light Rail for easy access to Camden Yard and Inner Harbor, or a very short drive to historic Mount Vernon, Inner Harbor, Fells Point and more.

The space

Two bedrooms, one full bathroom upstairs and a half bath on the ground floor. You have full use of the kitchen, fridge, oven and cabinets but, since I do still live here, please don't eat my food or drink my drinks (that includes what's in and on the bar).

The house is equipped with password protected WiFi, DirecTV, a Dolby 5.1 surround sound and a turntable (feel free to listen to records...but please put them back in the order they were in, and please be careful with them, some are rather old).

There's a washer/dryer in the basement, also available for your use.

There's a driveway on the side of the house, feel free to park here. But street parking's usually pretty easy to find as well.

Guest access

You'll have access to the entire house with the exception of my office. The key works the front and back doors including the deadbolts. There will be a lock box on the back doorknob upon your arrival. You'll get the combination and the alarm system code once your trip is confirmed.

Interaction with guests

I will be out of town in Denver while you're here, but I'm never more than a phone call away. In the event of an emergency, I will be able to arrange help for you. But no one else in the area has an extra key. So if you manage to lock yourself out, it will be your responsibility to find a locksmith to get back into the house.

Other things to note

I'm a big fan of good food and drink (from fancy-pants dining to the best local dives), so I'm happy to provide any guidance you're looking for on where to dine while you're in town.

I can also offer you assistance with the best sites, neighborhoods, etc. worth visiting while you're in town.

Matthew's place was such an amazing house to stay in during my weekend trip to Baltimore! It was centrally located and there were tons to do around his house, including amazing bars/restaurants! His place was also only 10 minutes from downtown Baltimore, which made it even better! Matt was such an awesome host and made sure that we felt very comfortable in his place, as well as, leaving a packet of interesting places to visit that were around his house! I would highly suggest booking his house if you are wanting to stay in Baltimore!

Great spot not to far from downtown Baltimore. Cute restaurants and craft brewery nearby. Matt was a great host and helped us out with everything we needed.

Matthew's place was exactly what we needed for our stay in Baltimore, and he was an excellent host. Easy access to highways and to shops and restaurants, and a very nice space, too. When we had an unforeseen issue, Matt was easy to contact and very responsive. Everything was taken care of! Thanks for making our stay easy!

My friends and I stayed at Matthew's home during our weekend in Baltimore. His place was clean and comfortable and we had everything we needed for our stay. He provided detailed instructions for accessing the house and clean up which were very helpful. The neighborhood itself is very nice and less busy/touristy than other parts of Baltimore. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful, nice sized place that can easily accommodate 4 guests. Open kitchen and living room, plenty of space to relax and cook meals. Close to the city, easy to get to and from via public transit/Uber/driving. Matthew was always open and available for communication, and was very flexible with scheduling our trip. He also provided us with a list of local places worth visiting, which was a nice and welcome surprise. Overall a perfect space with a great host for the price, and would absolutely recommend to anyone looking to visit the city of Baltimore
