Firstly the good bits- incredibly central location, you can't really get more in town. No real issues with noise and the apartment Is very spacious which is nice. I also think the cats are lovely, they fight with each other a bit but it's not very disruptive, they caused us no issues. We just kept the bedroom door shut to them at night. You do have to leave the balcony doors open for them even when you're out as their litter tray is out there, so if you're a bit nervous about the security of your belongings in an unlocked place that may be a problem for you. Price wise I know Robine leaves it cheaper because of the cats and I think the low pricing is a bonus to the place.
Sadly there were a few things that made the stay less than great. Firstly we were told there was no wifi after we'd paid despite the profile saying there was. She did give me a code for some free wifi but it didn't work especially well.
Secondly parking is very difficult- you can pay for road parking nearby otherwise you have to drive around quite a bit looking for free spaces which are few and far between.
The main problems were with cleanliness. When we got there the bins in both kitchen and bathrooms were full of rubbish and the fridge was also full and smelled quite bad, we traced the smell to some mouldy cheese in the door. There was a load of recycling left out on the floor too.
Also the sinks block up so when you're in the shower the bath around your feet fills quickly and takes a long time to drain.
There is no curtain in the bedroom either so you have the sun streaming in very early, we had to do a make shift curtain out of some sheets.
For us the place was fine as we needed somewhere quite cheap and for two days only, but if I had planned my whole holiday to be in that apartment I think I would be quite disappointed.
It's a shame too because given it's location and the size of the apartment, it could actually be a really great place. But in order for that to be the case it needs a bit of cleaning up etc. Robine was nice and I don't ever like leaving a negative comment but I have to be honest on a few things noted above.
