Kyia is a great and accommodating host. Tent was cozy and comfortable. Really felt like true Alaskan living. Although we did not see the northern lights (too cloudy), the location seems like a good spot for it.

Very cool unique place to stay, a real experience while up in Fairbanks. I think people need to set their expectations before staying here so I will note a few things so hopefully people are prepared and not disappointed. 1. There is no indoor bathroom, only an outhouse and whil…

You have to think , if you are going to Alaska and staying at an off the grid kennel. It is not going to be like a hotel room . All of our guests love the outhouse( ck reviews) air bnb only gives an option for bathroom or not on listing , they don't have a outhouse category. It's not a Perfict world and I am sorry that out previous guest broke the shower we having it fixed the weekend you were here I don't think it's necessary to highlight something like that which control is out of my hands . We inform all ahead of time about the stove as we did for you and you said you would be fine with it . These stoves stay warm for 6 to 7 hours IF ,you know what you are doing . as far as the power yes it went out and it went back on . Then you turned off the switch . Who needs powers at 5:00 am in a tent anyway. With all your complaints I am surprised you recommended my place . So far all of our guests knew what they were getting in to before staying here , I am sorry you didn't .we did all we could to make you comfortable . As we do with all our guests .

My wife and I chose Kyia's tent cabin for a night to stay and see the northern lights. Luckily, we saw the lights after having already spent two nights previous in the city of Fairbanks at a Hilton with no luck, but Kyia's tent cabin, location, amenities, and hospitality were as …

Very fun and unique stay here in what feels like the Alaskan wilderness. Kyia and her helper josh are very welcoming and the tents are super cosy. Kyia's dog tours are well worth it, too This is a great place to stay if you want to feel like you've had a real Alaskan experience

If you want to be out in the middle of nowhere, this is the place for you. Dark enough to see the Northern Lights. Bring a 4x4 to get through the driveway and lots of extra blankets. This is not a kid friendly but is 420 friendly.

We have had over 60 guests here in the 4 months we have been open and me being a super host and having a 5 star rating with lengthy awesome reviews says something . So in response I will coment . Alaska is big but we are only 25 min. From Fairbanks not "in the middle of nowhere ". Yes there was some mud in the drive way only a short section , there is in everyone's , August and September is our rain season we can't help that sorry you got some mud on your tires . We don't allow young kids and that is listed so that shouldn't have been an issue . In Alaska 420 friendly is no different than allowing alcoholic beverages , it's been legal here for awhile . Glamping is mostly off the grid to be authentic so generators are used you should've requested for us to turn it off if it bothered you ,they are extremely quiet though. I did not solicit you for more money I was simply telling you what activities we offer which all of our guests love to do and how much both of our activities cost . The one tour was not just about learning about dogs it was a 2 1/2 hour intensive kennel tour and introductory to our way of life our other activities is sled dog rides. I am sorry you felt solicited that was not my intention but only to offer my services . I had mentioned to you they were extra blankets under the bed and if you were cold you should've mentioned something to me I could've turned up the heat but you said nothing . I was very accommodating upon your arrival and friendly and showed you around the grounds and offered to help with your plans during your stay why did you write that you felt you were interrupting me ?I do not understand I am here to help people this is my business . Maybe you did not read my listing clear enough before you made reservations with us , everything is explained in the listing .C'est la vie

Bush women of the great white north, jackie of all trades, master of many! I found my true love for dogs many years ago , my huskies ( my kids) and I hopes to run the 1,049 mile Iditarod dog sled race some day. I started "Bouchards International Dog Mushing Museum" in Fairbanks Ak…
