Villa Cuarterón is part of the beautiful Huerta El Cuarterón, the oldest fruit-growing farm in the area. Sitting just below the charming village of Gaucín, there are spectacular views of the Straits of Gibraltar and Africa beyond. With just a 2 night minimum stay it makes a beautiful and peaceful break from visiting the historical town of Ronda or Seville, Granada and Córdoba further afield. The house has 2 double rooms and is perfect for just 2 people or those travelling with friends.
The house is nestled in the hillside a few minutes drive from the picturesque village of Gaucín. It sits in a beautiful orchard where you will be surrounded by the wonderful scent of orange & lemon blossom, and trees laden with olives, pomegranates, quinces, figs, oranges, lemons, grapefruit and avocados. It is a relaxing escape where nature abounds with wild flowers and some of the most beautiful birdsong; nightingales stopping on their migratory path.
The master bedroom has wonderful views over the orchard below and rolling hills leading to the Rock of Gibraltar and the Riff mountains of Africa beyond. It has an ensuite bathroom with twin sinks, a shower and a bath.
There are numerous terraces, which all enjoy the amazing views.
It's a 10-15 minute walk through the countryside up to Gaucín - where you'll find shops, tapas bars and a broad range of excellent restaurants. Afterwards, you can return to the house - your oasis of calm and tranquility, away from it all.
You will be provided with a breakfast hamper including our own eggs and a bottle of wine and a cold beer will be awaiting your arrival! . There are also plenty of lemons, grapefruit, pomegranates etc from the farm obviously depending on the season. The kitchen is well-stocked with everything you will need.
Guests will have the full run of this house.
It is an independent 2 bedroom house (with a 3rd room with 2 single beds connected to the master bedroom); if you have any questions, my farm house is situated close by and I am on hand for local advice, things to do, places to eat, etc etc.
I have lived in the area for 30 years and ran a very successful B&B business for years and look forward to welcoming you to the beautiful El Curarteron.
