I am offering a special deal for winter equestrian guests with a two month minimum booking!

Bring your horses and sit back, relax and enjoy my peaceful farm and 1,000 square foot renovated cottage. The cottage is located in a lovely country setting, yet convenient to all that historic Aiken and Augusta have to offer.

The space

Are you tired of the rat race, the hustle and bustle of the city?
Come stay at my farm, near Augusta, Aiken and the Hitchcock Woods.
Bring your horses ($15/night/horse)!
Enjoy my cottage and farm!! I have great trails for running, bicycling, walking, and riding.
Basics will be provided for cooking. Nice grocery stores are about 10 miles away in Augusta and Aiken, for purchasing additional food/cooking supplies.
Washer/dryer are available.
Alas, there is no cable, but I do have wi-fi.
I do NOT have unlimited data on my wi-fi plan but it is fine to check email, etc.
Streaming movies, videos, youtube, etc. is fine, but we will need to figure out an appropriate way to cover data overages.
I am 15 miles from both downtown Augusta, Aiken and Hitchcock Woods, 12 miles or less to Travinia, Red Pepper Grill, Salsa's, and other popular, Aiken restaurants. Kroger, Food Lion, Publix and Bi Lo are also on "my" side of Aiken.
I am a beekeeper and have two or more hives - I want you to know that ahead of time!!
I have 5 acres of fenced grass pastures, with a nice run-in shed and a place to store hay/grain. Trail riding from my farm is somewhat limited, but you can keep your horse conditioned. I have hot water outside, for washing your horse.
My daughter and I come and go, to tend to the horses and chickens, but we are discrete and will respect your privacy.
My house and farm are a HAPPY HAPPY place! Come enjoy Aiken and peace and quiet in the country!

Guest access

Guests will have access to the whole house and farm. There is a peaceful front porch with rocking chairs and a shaded patio and gas grill (manual lighting) for late afternoon relaxing and grilling.

Interaction with guests

I look forward to meeting you and answering your questions! The house will be YOURS during your stay but my daughter and I do come and go to take care of the chickens and horses and ride.

Other things to note

A reminde(URL HIDDEN)do not have unlimited data on my wi fi. Checking email, news, etc. will not over-burden data usage. Streaming videos and movies will. If you want to stream, we can figure out an appropriate way to cover your data usage.
I have a hot tub!
I do not have a dishwasher.
Water pressure may not be as powerful as you are accustomed to - - - but there is unlimited hot water!!!!

If you don't mind that this farm is 17 miles from downtown Aiken and you will receive frequent (and sometimes long) visits from the owner or her daughter and the kitchen is lacking some of the essentials for people who like to cook (like a sharp knife), this cute, cozy farmhouse might be what you're looking for. Water flow is a trickle in the shower and the only TV is in the bedroom. No cable or sat so you are confined to 6 local channels. Otherwise, the house is cute, and well decorated, the views are lovely and the horses and chickens friendly.

What a lovely back yard with a hot tub and fire pit. A real air bnb feel, staying in her true home. Welcoming and personal.

We appreciate the assistance during evacuation from Hurricane Matthew. Anne and the Aiken community were wonderful!

Response from Anne:
Thanks, Dena - your folks were GREAT!!! And Aiken was so happy and humbled, being able to provide some shelter from the storm. I hope your residents are resettled and you all have caught up on rest and your OWN lives!

Anne was a gracious and accommodating host, and Honey Hill Farm was everything I hoped it would be! The beautifully updated house is cute and comfortable, the surrounding area is quiet, and there are many places accessible from the farm to take enjoyable walks. The animals are a joy! My dog and I both hated to leave, so will return whenever possible.

Place was just as Anne described. This was the first AirBnB place I booked since I booked well in advance due to going with family to the Masters. However is was not the first I stayed in which was a bit odd. Super quiet and private and nice if you want some R&R or a quiet stop over. Perfect for two or three, might be difficult for more guests. Was not hard to locate and readily accessible to Augusta or Aiken. Chickens on the property but they are not a bother or noisy.

Stayed at Anne's wonderful little house during Masters week, early April 2016. The house is simple & lovely. Very rural and peaceful. The drive into Augusta is direct, and even during the heavy traffic normal for tournament time it's an easy 20 minutes. If you are comfortable in 5 star resorts you might not be happy here, but for regular folks looking for a nice place to relax, it couldn't be nicer. Your host Anne is friendly and makes you feel welcome in her home.

I am a forester by education and profession, now retired. I am a beekeeper, I volunteer with a local land conservancy, still assist with prescribed burning, and I ride my horses. I am the proud mother of two wonderful adult children. I have wonderful friends here in Aiken and in Brevard.
I love my little farm in Aiken and mountain escape in Cedar Mountain and look forward to sharing with you!
