Second time staying at the Muffin Apartment and I loved it.

A great, comfortable, really spacious apartment in an ace location. Ari is supremely charming -- loads of delicious food between you and the walk to the BTS station (5-10 minutes), all the amenities you could need, and a nice general level of buzz. Fah was always very quick to respond and the security guards, who check you in and out, were welcoming and friendly. I saw another review mentioning that the WiFi wasn't great here, but it was fast and reliable for us. The condo is also much nicer in person. Highly recommended.

This apartment was perfect for our visit to Bangkok. Plenty of space in the apartment. The 2 bathrooms were quite the luxury compared to other places we had seen. The living room area was lovely and the bedroom spacious. The shower in the main bathroom was a bit complicated to use as a tall person, but I guess that is to be expected in Thailand. The AC worked perfectly and was quiet enough to stay cool at night. Also, having a washing machine helped us freshen up after 2 weeks of traveling through Thailand. The apartment and building are not fancy, but very comfortable and good value. The location was very convenient, as it was a 10 minute walk to the Ari BTS station (public transit which was really easy to use even as a foreigner!) The main road out of the apartment was filled with street vendors selling all sorts of yummy thai street food, and cafes. There were a few lovely restaurants and some bars within a walking distance. There is a 7-Eleven right in front of the apartment building and is convenient as a 24 hour store with all the essentials. The neighborhood was a few BTS stops away from Siam and Chit Lom, the very busy and comercial neighborhoods with all the malls, so it was quite conveniently located without being too crazy at night. I would highly recommend this place because of its location. The apartment building staff was very friendly, though their English was limited. They helped us check in and showed us to the apartment, and just asked for a passport to verify who we were and took a picture so they could recognize us and not stop us every time we came in. Arriving at the apartment via Public Transit was quite easy, especially taking the sky train from the airport and connecting with BTS to the Ari station. The 10 to 15 minute walk from the BTS station to the apartment was a bit complicated as there were no lifts from the station to the street level and we were carrying suitcases. Asking around for directions was complicated as nobody seemed to speak much english. I recommend looking up walking directions from the BTS station to the apartment on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps beforehand if possible. The streets are a bit uneven, so if you have some luggage it might be easier to take a taxi from the station (which we should have done instead of walking with 2 big suitcases in the heat...)

If you need to stay in this area, or plan to travel using the BTS, it's a good apartment overall. Just outdated (though floor, living room, and bed were renovated). Internet was working, but slow. There are a few minor issues, but I'm sure Fah will take care of them and this can be the near perfect apartment.

Nice, clean, quiet place in a non-touristy area. Super easy check-in and out, and friendly building staff.

There used to be a time when builders built with integrity. Large rooms and nooks, spacious hallways, thick walls where sound cannot bleed. And a building staff that knows the residents and their needs. Fah's place is one of those old school gems. Highly recommend Fah and the Muffin :)

Fah's apartment was everything we were looking for: spacious, clean, near Ari BTS station and surrounded by really nice and cozy cafes and restaurants. We stayed there a little more than a week and we left with the impression that we hadn't have enough time to explore all that the neighborhood had to offer! Communication with Fah prior and during our stay was super easy and the people who work at the condominium are very friendly. Also, looking through the window of the apartment you see a lot of green, which is a very nice extra to have in Bangkok :) Overall we had a wonderful experience and recommend it 100%!

I am from Bangkok but live in Zurich. I call both places home, and I rent my apartments in Bangkok while I am not there. I love travelling and happen to know a lot about Bangkok. If you want to know any tips about BKK, I would be happy to share.
