This cute Colorado cabin feels like it's tucked away in the mountains even though it's at a great location in town. Walking distance to 2 great breweries, bike lane that takes you into Cheyenne Canyon, and wildlife wanders into the yard to say hi! If you're looking for an authentic Colorado experience, but still want to stay in town, this is it. Nearby: rock climbing, mountain biking, hiking, waterfalls, zoo, distilleries, downtown, and the interstate! PLEASE READ ENTIRE LISTING BEFORE BOOKING!

The space

This cabin is full of character. It was built in 1920 and was obviously made for someone who is not very tall. That being said, if you are a taller individual you might feel kinda scrunched. The shower is especially short (raised clawfoot tub + short ceilings = short shower) but the bathtub is lovely to use. My husband and I lived here for over a year and showered every day with no problem. The detachable shower head makes it great. If a short shower is an issue for anyone in your group, I would not recommend staying here. If you want to give it less than a 5-star rating just because of this, please don't book this listing :)

Guest access

Please enjoy all of the space! There is a ton of parking in the front and you can also park on the street. There's a fenced backyard. If you have pets, make sure both gates are closed before letting your pups run around back there. We don't keep trash cans outside of the house because there are neighborhood BEARS, so please let me know if you need a trash pick up before checkout and I'll be happy to come pick it up. You should make sure to keep all food and trash indoors. If you have bikes, please park them inside of the cabin (the mud room is great for this). And please make sure you don't leave any valuables in your car.

Interaction with guests

Please text my personal cell if you need anything at all.

Other things to note

The old clawfoot tub is wonderful for soaking in. The switch to the garbage disposal is under the sink. If you need additional trash pick up, please let me know and I'll take care of that for you.

I really enjoyed my stay in this cute little rustic cottage. Upon arriving, Brittany had made sure I had everything that I needed. The space is so cozy and cute. Everything is as advertised in the listing. It is true, the shower is very low. I'm 5'4" and it was the perfect height, but if anyone is taller than that, you'll be crouching down. Just wanted to put that in there for reference to anyone. I would definitely consider staying here again. Brittany is a great host and is quick to respond if you have any questions.

We had a great time staying at Brittany's place! It was beyond adorable, stocked with everything we could need, and convenient to everything we wanted to see and do. She's not joking about the ceilings- even at 5'7" I had to stoop in the shower but this place was totally worth it. We would definitely stay again!

My sister my 9 year old niece and I stayed for the weekend. It was perfect for us 3! It is a small cabin but that's all we needed. Like mentioned the shower is short but that was expected. It's right off a main road but the house sits a little ways back. We had a great time staying here it was clean and had a very homey feel. We Will definitely be back on our next trip!

We stayed at Brittany's when we came to visit Colorado Springs and it was amazing! Her house is in a great location. It's super close to the Garden of the Gods and the Broadmoor! We were able to walk to some great local breweries and this amazing vegetarian bar called Burrowing Owl! I highly recommend it for anyone staying here. Although the bathroom was a tad small and the shower was short, it still wasn't difficult to get ready. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants that cute little cabin feel while still being so close to the city!

This cottage is a great place to stay in Colorado Springs, just minutes from many of the best sites in the city. The neighborhood is great, and though it's just off a main strip, it doesn't feel busy at all. Brittany is an excellent host who communicates well and assures that all your needs are met. The cabin is comfortable and has all the amenities you could want. I was there for a course through the Center for Creative Leadership, which is just around the corner about a 3 minute drive away. I highly recommend this as a place to stay if you are taking part in a CCL course.

Hi there! My name is Brittany and I'm a business owner, teacher, artist and animal lover in Colorado Springs. I've lived all over Colorado but I've really fallen in love with everything "the Springs" has to offer. My husband, Nick and I started a transportation company that brings people to the ski resorts, or the breweries, or up Pikes Peak or just into the mountains. We love our little business! It's called Rocky Mountain Ride (ask me for a free t-shirt or pint glass!) and we're in our 3rd year. We just started offering concert shuttles to Red Rocks Amphitheater, which is super exciting for us. I also teach art classes and Sunday School class and walk/sit dogs. It's a pretty awesome life. When I'm not busy with work you can catch me at any one of the local breweries enjoying some nice IPAs and hanging with my 7 year old Weimaraner, Toby. If you need suggestions for things to do in the Pikes Peak region, I'm the person to ask! I love hosting an I want to make sure your stay is amazing!!
