Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
A 2 person cosy, insulated cabin with the option for a king bed or singles arrangement. The bathroom is not ensuite but just outside and ideal. A place to unwind and take a break from the stress of city life. Secluded, quiet, private, surrounded by bush and mountains, with private parking and a restaurant, pub and river just nearby. Close to the Karangahake Gorge and the nearby towns of Waihi, Paeroa, and Waihi Beach. BBQ available, fridge, microwave, cutlery, crockery, linen, towels and WIFI.

The space
Amazing views, privacy, and a nice, modern bathroom just next door - your own little space indoors and outdoors. Fridge, microwave, cutlery, crockery, utensils, free Wifi, heater/portable fan, free parking, garden area, private deck, fire pit, and BBQ facility upon request. Towels, a hairdryer, a first aid kit, board games, and books are provided.

Guest access
The gravel road up to the cabin is a little steep, so keep a constant speed at the end. The chalet has its own private garden area and parking. Alpaca/goat visiting if weather permits. Please avoid the forest as it has protected native flora and fauna and can be very steep, slippery and potentially dangerous.

Other things to note
Being rural, the GPS tends to lead you past the main entrance. On Dickey Flat Road, look out for the sign on your left that says THE DOME. The long, gravel driveway leading to the chalet is a little steep at the end. Just make sure you keep your speed up as you ascend and head to the right at the fork (blue arrow sign) as the road ascends to the chalet. Smoking is allowed but not in the buildings. The dogs and cat roam freely during the day (dogs in at night), so it might be best to keep the doors/windows closed when absent and not leave any food around outside. If you are UNCOMFORTABLE WITH DOGS, we advise you not to book, as they roam freely. On hot days, leave the front push window open for ventilation. Your belongings will be safe. WIFI is free

We live on a very special property that has amazing views, is very quiet and secluded but not far away by transport from quite a few towns that have almost everything you need. We love nature, animals, the quiet, and the magic that lives here.
