A wonderful central location in Faja Grande. A view of the ocean from the kitchen and a view of waterfalls from the front terrace. Sleeping in is difficult as the street can be busy early in the day

The old traditional house offers generous interior and exterior spaces with a nice view to the falls. It is centrally located in one of the best spots of Flores, close to shops, bars and restaurants, facilities, the natural pools and port. Isilda always answered our questions, was precise and available. Recommended!

Isilda's house lies directly in the center of the village Faja Grande, just opposite to Jonah's Snackbar. You will be living in the 1st floor. There is the old kitchen fridge, microwave and water heater, a sleeping room for one person in the middle part with a window to the backside of the neighbor's house and the main living room to the front/road which is separated to an open sleeping room for 2 persons. The house is a typical rural living home as it was the last decades and as many people still live in. It is not recently build and you will get the feeling how people lived the last century and still live. It is basically equipped with all you need and even if you will cook your dinner every night you will find things you need for. There is enough space for a small family in. The entrance to the building is separated to the road by a gate. Beside the house there is a kind of patio including chairs, and place to dry your clothes. Even if the house is at the main road it is very quiet and the SnackBar next door ist not a problem at all. Anyway you have to know that it is not a house in the end of the road and cars on the cobblestone road will make some noise. The price is worth what you get and the contact to everyone has always been at its best. For the upcoming future it would be nice to think about a washing machine and some fly-protection at the windows that can be but in while the windows are open as it is upcoming standard.

The house is situated in the middle of the main street of Fajã Grande with a beautiful view of the mountains. It is close to the sea where you can swim and close to great restaurants and excellent hiking trails. There is a fine terrace where we took our breakfast. The house is charmingly old and spacious for 2-3 people. Isilda didn't meet us for the check in but her mother was there and could only speak Portugese, but the check in worked out fine anyway. We can definately recommend this place.

We just loved the place! It was well located in the center of Faja Grande. Isilda was not there when we arrived but she had sent her family to welcome us and show us all the accomodations. We strongly recommend Isilda's house for anyone who's looking for a tipical house in a wonderful island.

Faja Grande - and all of Flores - is wonderful and Isilde's pleasant if slightly spartan house could not be better located to explore it. Isilde was a very responsive host and my wife, 13 year old son and I would be very happy to stay here again.

The house in the middle of the small village Faja Grande. The location is very good, with local atmosphere and very close to a supermarket and serveral restuarants. We found Isildas quick response on any of our questions very helpfull and the house was nice, clean and everything we needed to base ourselves on Flores.
