Visit the trendy Junction neighbourhood of West-end Toronto! Very safe, friendly, and community-minded area of the city. You're not far from downtown, and you'll have a nice quiet neighborhood. Enjoy the beautiful landscaped back yard full of plants and flowers, and a sun-filled patio. Free parking (just let me know in advance). Non-smoking, and home to a friendly indoor/outdoor cat, Marla. This is a very LGBTQ-friendly and anti-racist place and everyone is welcome!

The space

This is a 2 bedroom 850 square foot lower-level apartment with windows in every room. The place has a newly renovated eat-in kitchen with an updated bathroom just off the kitchen. You're welcome to hang out in the shared spaces - the den and kitchen and the back yard. My cat Marla will also want to meet you!

Guest access

Very close to the hip Junction neighbourhood. Walking distance to library, grocery stores, LCBO, and beer store. Beautiful walking trails all the way down the Humber River. There is also a golf course nearby. Downtown is approximately 35 minutes by transit (1 bus and subway)

Interaction with guests

Please feel free to contact me via airbnb or phone if you have any questions or need my assistance.

Other things to note

There is another 2-bedroom apartment above this one. Both units are completely self-contained and are securely locked from each other. It's an older house so noise does travel throughout, so please keep noise to a minimum after 11pm.

Your bedroom also has a lock and key, which you will receive upon arrival.

It was a very comfortable and peaceful stay at Kinnon's. Kinnon stayed in touch throughout the booking process as well as check in. The check in was very smooth and he was even helpful to the point of helping me carry my bags in to the apartment. I was lucky that there were no other guests so practically it seemed like an entire place to myself! Both Kinnon and Rae checked in with me often during the week to see how things are going and even replenished breakfast items regularly which was a big help! Kinnon is one of the best hosts I have encountered on Airbnb. The location of the house (albeit not in downtown proper), was only a few minutes away from most modes of transport and so was easily accessible. The room and other amenities were as described and were quite comfortable. And of course Marla (the cat) was a wonderful com

I had a nice one night stay at Kinnon's place. The room isn't anything special but has everything you need. Quite noisy though, being that it is in the basement. About 50 minutes to downtown by TTC. All in all, I had a good stay. Marla the cat is cute!

Response from Kinnon:
Glad you had a good stay, Julia. It was nice to meet you. I'm so sorry about the noise. As I had indicated when you booked- my girlfriend had just moved in 5 days prior and we needed to dis-assemble a bed and rebuild one in the bedroom above yours. I said that if the noise was going to be a problem then I would cancel the booking for you. You acknowledged it wasn't an issue. It's typically much quieter - but the move changed things. Good luck in Toronto!

His house is good. The room is clean :) Kinnon is so kind and great :) Although I couldn't meet him much, he always send me messages and cared about me. To go to the house, you have to use subway and bus. The area where the house located is quiet :) Thank you, Kinnon.

Kinnon was a supernice host and the house and everything was great, I very much enjoyed my stay there and would recommend it in a heartbeat. Plus, as a cat person myself (I have three), I have to say Marla is probably one of the most charming and cutest cats ever – and a great host, too!
