Perfect position to explore the Brecon Beacons, Hay on Wye and the surrounding area. Very comfortable and spotlessly clean.

Thank you Alison and Steve for a wonderful stay at Montgomery's Coach House. We stayed with three adults and a toddler in a travel cot (plenty of room for cot in either room). The cottage has been renovated to a beautiful standard and there are even pictures to document the work…

Now that is what you call a review! Comprehensive, detailed, informative and, from our own point of view, lovely and positive - just what we like! Thank you very much Joanne for going to so much effort, we really do appreciate you taking the time. More importantly, we are delighted that you all throughly enjoyed your stay with us. We have had the occasional observation in the past about there only being a shower but as you have seen, both actually and in the photo album showing the renovation work, there is only so much you can get into an old coach house and we really wanted to keep the bedrooms nice and spacious - as you have found. Glad we could assist with the workaround solution though, we can add the bowl to the ever growing list of things we have been asked to provide; before you know it your little one will be requesting the margarita glasses we have helped guests with in the past! Very many thanks for letting others know about our self-contained B&B annexes, they are great for larger groups and have worked really well for extended families previously. (They, The Agent's Office annexe and Josie's annexe can also be found on Airbnb). Thank you again for staying with us and, of course, the great review We hope that you will all come back and see us again before too long. Kind regards.

The coach house is beautifully clean, easy to find & within perfect walking distance to the pub! The walks in the area are lovely (especially when the sun is out!) & our pooch loved it. The beds are extremely comfy. The welcome basket with food and drink from the local area are a…

We are so glad you liked our coach house; as you have discovered there are many great points about our location but 'perfect walking distance to the pub' is right up there among the best! The 'changeable' weather in this country means few of us think like an Italian. We were fortunate to live there for a couple of years and never left home without closing the window blinds; they really do make a big difference to the room temperature - the nice thick stone walls of the coach house will do the rest! It was lovely to meet all four of you (mustn't forget Nico) and we very much hope you will consider staying with us again at some point. Please bring the scorching hot weather back with you - if only to test out the theory! Kind regards.

Mongomery's Coach House has to be one of the most beautiful places we have stayed in. The whole cottage has been lovingly restored to a very high standard and every amenity has been thought of. The beds are extremely large and comfortable, as are the bedrooms themselves. The loun…

Wow, Sheila, thank you for such lovely and fulsome feedback. We do try hard to ensure our guests feel comfortable and looked after, without intruding on their privacy. Converting the Coach House was a labour of love and it is very gratifying to know guests find it a special & comfortable place to stay with everything they might need to make their holiday or short break relaxing and enjoyable. For a small, rural village, we are certainly lucky to have so many amenities on the doorstep, as well as being so centrally located in beautiful walking countryside. Quite a few of our doggy guests have told us they like the underfloor heating and, as we aim to please them as well as their owners, this is good news! It was a pleasure to meet you all, so thank you once again for choosing to use our place as your base for exploring the Herefordshire countryside.

In our previous working lives, both my husband and I spent considerable time travelling and staying in hotels, bed & breakfast and holiday cottage accommodation. We believe this has given us some insight into what makes a welcoming & comfortable stay and we've tried to translate …
