We completely renovated our home. Furniture is antique. All finishes and appliances are new.
Our suite is next to our family room, and we assume that guests may want to sit there at times. We use it mainly in the evening, and would like to have privacy then. Otherwise, it's fine for guests to hang out there.
Interaction with guests
We are friendly, gregarious people. We are happy to answer questions and to talk when we can. One of us works from a home office, so there is generally someone around.

I'm a writer/editor who lives in San Francisco, California, my hometown. I've lived all over: Beijing, Hong Kong, New York City, Houston, Texas, New Jersey. My family and I are in SF to stay, but love to travel. My husband is an editor who has worked at The New York Times, and Bloomberg News. My daughter, a teenager, is into history, Ireland, archery, fencing and art. We love dinner parties, dogs and cats, camping and traveling.
