Our home is a beautifully restored Historic 1921 home located in the Adams Hill neighborhood of Glendale, CA. This home has spacious traditional interiors and features great outdoor space. Gourmet kitchen, excellent views
and 5 bedrooms. The Adams Hill historic neighborhood is adjacent to the Los Feliz and Silverlake neighborhoods with easy access to highways.

The space

Since Eric is a Writer, Actor & Filmmaker, this home is perfect for professionals working in the entertainment business. It could be used for several individuals or would be wonderful for families out for a visit to the Los Angeles area.
This is a beautiful old home on an unusually large lot with spectacular views. A newly remodeled gourmet kitchen and numerous custom touches throughout!
Please be aware that this property is not advised for those with mobility issues. LA hillside properties are steep and there are quite a few steps to the front door. This is a two-story home, though the main floor has a bedroom and bath, as well multiple living and outdoor spaces.

CYPRESS HILLSIDE RENTAL RULES:
By booking Cypress Hillside you are bound by our house rules, specifically:

SMOKING: There is absolutely no smoking permitted inside the home. If you must smoke, do so outside but PLEASE don’t throw cigarette butts on the ground, or leave any sign of them on our property. Failure to adhere to this rule will result in a fine, to be taken from your security deposit.
ADDITIONAL GUESTS: People other than those in the Guest party set forth above may not stay overnight on the property. Any other person on the property is the sole responsibility of Guest. No more than 15 people are permitted on the property at one time. Loud or disruptive parties or gatherings are expressly prohibited. Please respect our home and neighbors.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY: This home is privately owned; the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occur while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.
CONDITION OF PROPERTY: Keep the property and all furnishings in good order. Only use appliances for their intended uses.
PETS: Pets are NOT allowed.
PARKING: The home has a two-car garage, accessed by keypad only. It is a short, divided garage and not suitable for large vehicles such as SUVs or trucks, though the left side is a bit wider than the right. Please keep the garage doors closed at all times, except during entry/exit. Any damage to the garage structure, the doors, etc. is the responsibility of the renter. There is another off-street parking option in front of the garage. You must be careful to parallel park along the front of the garage, while keeping your vehicle off the sidewalk and street. You may be ticketed if your vehicle is in the street or sidewalk. Park your vehicle back as close to the trash cans as possible to allow our neighbors to pull their car in front of their garage in a similar fashion. Street parking is available, though not on the south side of the street as clearly marked by city signs.
HOUSEKEEPING: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the home, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the home. We suggest you bring beach towels if you will needs towels away from the home. The house will be professionally cleaned upon your departure. The fee for the cleaning is charged through Airbnb. If the house is left in a particularly soiled or disordered condition, you may be charged an additional $150 for deep cleaning. Our cleaners will let us know upon arrival if the condition of the house warrants this, and will provide pictures. You will be informed accordingly. Additional cleanings can be scheduled during your stay for $170 per cleaning. Please note that guests would need to vacate the home from 11am to 4pm to allow cleaners time to complete the house cleaning and laundering.
LOST KEY FEE: If the guest fails to leave a house key in the lockbox, he will be charged a $100 lost key fee. Housecleaners and future guests cannot enter the home if no key is left in the lockbox!
LATE CHECK-OUT FEE: If guest checks out after 11AM causing the housecleaners to wait on his departure, guest will be charged a $75 fee. The late check-out fee is subject to increase according to the fees for delay, cancellation or rescheduling incurred by our house cleaners as a result of late check-out.

Must climb stairs - This is a steep property. There are almost 40 steps up to the front door, and the home is two stories. Guests with mobility issues are cautioned.

Amber & Eric's place is absolutely fantastic! Very clean, spacious, and well stocked with everything you could need. Having a garage to park in was truly wonderful. And Amber was great to communicate with every step of the way. We will certainly stay there again if ever in the area. :)

Our team was in LA for a pitch, this was the perfect place for the five of us to be able to work and collaborate together while still having plenty of space to ourselves. This is a beautiful home well maintained with great updates to it. Check in was easy and Amber was very attentive to any questions we had. Would love to come back again!

Are 5 stars enough? No. Are 6? No. I'm not quite sure where to start on this review but let me say that if Airbnb allowed it we'd give this place 10 Stars. We heard about this house from a friend who knew we were looking for a place for our family to gather for a daughter's wedding. All we knew was that we needed 4 bedrooms, a kitchen, a place to chill and hang and that was about it. To say that Amber and Eric's place exceeded our expectations would be an understatement. It was absolutely perfect. From the beds to the kitchen to the backyard (what a great hang space!) to the decor to the location to the ease of working with Amber this was just an amazing place. I only wish we were going to have another wedding soon so we could come again! We felt lucky to be the first people to rent this house - I know this is going to be a very popular place!
