Great location and amazing view. Definitely a good place to stay when you want to experience Lisboa at its best. Very central: many nice restaurants, terraces and bars in the area, and close to the promenade along the sea... The apartments' interior is very authentic and has a great view that makes you feel like you are in a movie setting! One of the best Airbnb's I stayed!

The place looks as the pictures represent. Below are my pros and cons. It is relatively clean and spacious. I personally wouldn't stay here again but the place could be great for those who don't mind the area and noise. I would compare it to staying right on Bourbon street in New Orleans, right on Times Square, NY during new year's Eve, or on top of the XS nightclub in Las Vegas. Pros: - balcony view of the square and partial view of the bridge (very small) - Ana sent her friend to help with check in and she was great. Cons: - NOISE. This was the noisiest place I have ever stayed at. Closing the windows and earplugs does not drown out the parties that happens downstairs. The worst noise is from 12-4am every night. Worse on weekends. - Smoke. Due to the parties downstairs, there are 100 people smoking. You can smell the smoke even if the windows are closed. - Area. Can you be too central? Yes, this place proves it - Smell. The bathrooms smelled weird the whole time - No amenities. I thought it said there would be but had to go to the market next door to buy soap and shampoo.

Ana's apartment is in a great location that is very close to Cais do Sodre, and located one block from Pink Street. Due to the proximity, it can get very loud and crowded in the evenings but as a previous reviewer mentioned closing the windows muffles out most of the noise. The kitchen is well equipped and rooms were prepared upon arrival. The only issue I experienced was with the wi-fi. It was not working upon arrival, but Ana was very communicative and resolved the issue within 3 days. This is important to me as I was in Lisbon for work and needed to be able to access the internet from the apartment.

I loved this apartment. It is right in the heart of the city, with shops, metro, restaurants, bars, all around the area. Located on the 5th floor it has a great view, overlooking a church and the 25th April Bridge, even nicer at night when it is lit up. All 8 of the balcony doors open, so you can enjoy the view from everywhere in the apartment. To get to the 5th floor you have to climb 8 flights of stairs, which could be an advantage or disadvantage depending on how much you like exercise. It's certainly a workout if your carrying suitcases. Also because it's so central there is quite a lot of noise throughout the night, not a problem for me when the windows were closed. But be aware it will be noisy at the weekend.

This location is great since it is in a flat part of the main area and by the market. Unfortunately I would not recommend this home unless it is a last resort. The windows do a good job of blocking street noise (and trust me on the weekends the street gets crowded with bar hoppers) but there is major construction starting on a shared wall and you will hear hammers and saws all morning. The place itself was great like the pictures. Just factor in the noise and the stairs walk up that get tiring fast, can't say it is worth it with other airbnbs around that are similar yet cheaper.

Response from Ana:
After years of decrepitude, our neighborhood is under major rehabilitation, with works all around. It seems that the noise goes on and off, with more incidence in the mornings. We will be monitoring closely the evolution.
