This beautiful building, located on 400 acres of vibrant land, will help you relax, explore and enjoy the beauty of NM. The private space is perfect for couples looking to escape the bustle of urban life. 30 minutes to Taos & Ojo Caliente. Rock climbing, fishing, hiking, wilderness all at your doorstep.

The space

Do not hesitate to shoot an inquiry about availability before booking!

This structure, which is specifically built for adventurers and groups, is vastly different from most other places.

This private building is perfect for a couple and 2 children, 4 adventurists, small group, very private. The area has three beds (king and 2 singles) in a open floor plan. A beautiful view is always available, either of the sunrise, sunset, incredible environment or starry sky. The complete glass windows that bask the stretch of space with lots of light make one feel they are right by nature.

With good cellphone service and wireless internet, you will be sure to be connected to the bustle of your daily life while being away from it.

Our kitchen is expansive with all the necessities for cooking, and a pristine wooden table that allows one to enjoy the expansiveness of it all. Appliances such as a gas stove, oven, microwave and refrigerator are free to use. Lots of utensils, pots and pans, etc.

As an added bonus, guests are free to explore the 400 acres of unique land. One can find a hiking trail, reservoirs, wild-life and beautiful views. Wildlife such as elk and cougars freely travel the land. Large, old rocks are nested perfectly to enjoy taking in the magical sunrise and sunset that comes from being at 8,000 feet elevation. A Native American sun-dance tree can also be visited, a remnant from last years ritual. The massive area is filled with many places to explore! June 5th-10th they're dancing again!!

Whether you wish to have a retreat, an adventure or an event, this location is well-equipped for your needs, and more.

This was my second stay and it was just as amazing as the first! The walks, the views, the cozy fire and spacious (URL HIDDEN) all just such a special place in the world. Kenneth is the absolute best. You’ll be lucky to meet such a kind host and gifted craftsman.

Kenneth was so generous to let us stay another night when we had missed the first one due to car trouble. The cabin is gorgeous and spacious, the views are stunning, the dogs loved running around the land, the sunsets were spectacular

If you want a very quiet isolated location this is the place! You need to be comfortable with a lack of curtains on some windows...perhaps a standing screen or two would be nice. Even so, it's essentially a small house which is a fantastic deal for the price. And Kevin is a really nice host as well who makes sure all your questions are answered. He even got in his car and found me in my car one driveway down since GPS misdirected me.

Kenneth accommodated our late night arrival which was very appreciated. His guesthouse is private but not too remote. For rafters like me, this place is a perfect base for runs on the Rio Grande and Rio Chama. Great stay!

This is the most spectacular space, both inside the home and surrounding you. Kenneth is one of a kind. I felt I had been on a retreat!

I've been a world traveler for most of my life, starting with a 1 year tour of Vietnam in 1965.

I've also travelled hrough most of South America, parts of Asia and Europe.

In Ohio, I built and ran a cafe for years.

Finally, in 1980, I moved to New Mexico and have lived for over 35 years in Tres Piedras, on a 467 acre ranch

I have much knowledge of the forests and cultural sites in NM. Many people say I'm a great builder and craftsman.

I live in one of the most beautiful places on the planet. Come check it out!
