The space

Main Entrance:
Walk-up to 2nd floor


Sleeping arrangements:
There is a queen size bedroom (2persons), a king size bedroom (2persons) in the main living space, and a queen size air bed (2persons) for use in the living space. If you have a large group the large sectional can sleep 2 more guests or 2 single air beds.


Kitchen:
Full-sized kitchen and cooking space. You have access to the entire range of kitchen accessories, stove/oven, and full-sized refrigerator. If you require anything specific for your arrival, please advise in advance and we can work it out.


Kitchen Supplies:
Silverware and all cooking supplies, Pots/Pans, Toaster, Microwave, Stove/Oven, French Press coffee, Blender, Crock Pot, George Foreman Grill!


Bathroom:
Full-sized bathroom with sink, vanity, toilet, and shower/bath comb. Great water pressure. Stocked with toilet paper, bath towels, hand towels, and an in-unit washer & dryer

PARKING:

1)Free street parking is available in front and the surrounding streets.

2) Download LUXE in the app store and use my promo code (SCOTT499) to receive $20 in valet for parking in the neighborhood. Have all guests download and register for additional free parking.

LUXE will pick-up and deliver your car to your location. The 1st park is free and is allowed for an extended period of time. This should cover you a weekend of free parking.

3) Garage parking at W. Washington/N. Peoria Street for $10 if you check-in before 2pm.

4) Surface lot parking at N. Halsted and W. Lake Street

5) Use the SpotHero app to find other parking options in the neighborhood

Guest access

Full Access to the apartment.

If I'm in the city, I can meet you on-site or my assistant will meet you with keys at check-in if available. Otherwise keys will be available in a designated lockbox.

I'm available by phone or text 24/7.

Interaction with guests

I'll gladly communicate with you during your stay to provide suggestions and advice regarding dining, drinks, entertainment, and anything to make your stay more enjoyable.

Other things to note

The entrance is not handicap accessible for wheelchair use or elderly guests. This space is on the second floor of the building with walk-up access only. The stairs are not steep but the 2nd floor is 16 feet from ground level. There are 28 steps in total, with a landing halfway up.

The neighborhood can be busy, as with any city location. There is an event space on the 1st floor that will have music playing as late as midnight on Fri/Sat nights if an event is booked. I don't feel that this deters from your stay unless you require an undisturbed sleep on the weekend. Guests that stay are able to play music until midnight as well, though excessive noise is not tolerated.

Very simply, please respect my home and my neighbors. Please read these rules carefully and take them seriously, failure to comply will result in forfeiture of your deposit and/or termination of your reservation without a refund.

1.) No parties or additional overnight guests without prior approval. Noise disturbances reported by neighbors or police are unacceptable.
2.) Please ensure you have left the premises and returned any keys issued to you by the agreed upon check out time. Failure to do so will result in a $250 late check out/lost key penalty
3.) No smoking inside the unit or on building premises unless you are in a designated smoking area. Additionally, Chicago law prohibits smoking within 15 feet of any building entrance.
4.) Please be respectful of my neighbors and be mindful of noise and loud music. Please observe quiet hours from 11:00 PM-7:00 AM daily.
5.) Pets are not allowed at the property unless previously approved.
6.) Lockouts will incur a $50 fee per occurrence and lost keys will incur a $50 per key fee.

Thanks for the great stay, Scott! We enjoyed staying at your place and visiting Chicago for the first time! The apartment is in a fantastic location. Scott's place has basically anything one would need for a comfortable trip. This was my first air bnb experience & it was a great one!! It's walking distance from many great restaruants, stores, and even downtown if you're up to it. The loft is very comfortable and clean, however it did get a bit cold even with the heat up.

The apartment has all the basics, and convenient to many food options. A bit noisy at night, especially from the L-train, and make sure to coordinate closely with Scott to get the keys to the apartment from the nearby lockbox.

Scott was very nice and the place was excellent. The check in was a bit quirky, but the email sent had pictures to the box directly, no issues. Good location as well. My business partner and I stayed for 2 nights. The second night, we returned at 9pm only to find the place super loud and there was a wedding reception direcly above us! There are only 3 units in that section of the building. Could not carry a phone conversation or sleep due to the noise which carried on well past midnight. I would recommend this place if it wasn't for how loud it was.
