The house of Lorena, between the historic district of San Donato, the cradle of Liberty style, and the characteristic district of Borgo Dora.

The space

Between the historic district of San Donato, the cradle of Liberty style, and the characteristic district of Borgo Dora, the house of Lorena, a delightful renovated apartment in shades of white and green, is the ideal starting point to discover the real Torino.

We are a few steps from the Sanctuary of Maria Ausiliatrice and a ten minutes walk from the metro and Porta Susa railway station, in a characteristic area, well positioned for all services. The apartment, on the first floor of a traditional building, is large and bright, renovated with careful attention to colors and details. An entrance leads to the rooms: the kitchen, with essential equipment (an electric plate, a small refrigerator and an oven); the bathroom with a large shower; the beautiful living room with parquet floors, a comfortable sofa bed and a nice chaise longue made of white wood; the lovely bedroom with white walls and wooden floors and a large double bed.
A charming mix of tradition and modernity in the choice of materials and furnishings makes the white and green house a place full of atmosphere, not far from the most famous attractions of Turin, which can be reached by a walk.

Borgo Valdocco is the crossroad of some of the most characteristic areas of Turin. A few steps beyond the Corso Principe Oddone, there is the San Donato district, which received, in the early twentieth century, the new Turin bourgeois class: here the first Art Nouveau houses were built and can still be admired in Via San Donato, Via Cibrario and Corso Francia. On the other side, the characteristic Borgo Dora, with the historical antiques and flea market of the “Balon” and the big colorful market of Porta Palazzo, can be easily reached. Overlooking the river Dora, it is one of the most typical areas of the city, multi-ethnic and traditional at the same time, where you can still feel the ancient “popular” heart of Turin. Going south, with a short walk you will arrive at the Consolata Shrine ( where you can enjoy the traditional "bicerin") and the pedestrian area of Via Garibaldi and the Roman Quarter, full of clubs, bars and typical "piole" where you will taste Piedmont specialties. The Cathedral and the Royal Palace can be reached on foot in fifteen minutes

Turin awaits you with its wonderful architecture and its magnificent museums. You can't miss the Egyptian Museum, the oldest museum worldwide entirely dedicated to the civilization developed around the river Nile and considered to be the second most important just behind the one in Cairo. Another “must to do” in the city is the National Cinema Museum, located inside the well known symbol of Turin, the Mole Antonelliana: you will live the magic of the cinema and get on the top of the Mole to see the beautiful landscape of the city. If you are wandering around, don't forget the Royal Palace , the Museum of Oriental Art (MAO), the Automobile Museum, the Valentino Park with its Medieval Village and Vittorio Veneto Square, one of the biggest in Europe, next to the river Po. Just a few kilometres away from the city, you will reach the gorgeous Reggia di Venaria and the imposing hunting castle of Stupinigi.
A professional multilingual guide service (on request and with extra charge) will make you discover the city with interesting (URL HIDDEN) and fascinating stories from the past. If you decide to exend your stay, we suggest you to explore the beautiful surroundings : the Olympic Valleys, where you can do activities like trekking, biking, rafting, ski and snowboarding, or the Langhe, where you will taste a wide range of typical food and wines, deep in the green beautiful hills.
