You will enjoy this lovely hideaway in a stunning location with gorgeous countryside walks, superb cycle routes and great village pubs. My cottage offers a tranquil setting in an area of outstanding natural beauty, just a few miles from the picture postcard village of Castle Combe. It's also close to other picturesque villages of Marshfield, Badminton, Biddestone and Lacock. The Georgian city of Bath is only 9 miles away and provides an abundance of arts and culture, fabulous food and shopping.

The space

My cottage is south facing. The bedroom is on the first floor and has been freshly decorated with a new double bed. Linen, towels, chest of drawers, hooks and hangers are provided for your clothes.
The bathroom is situated on the same floor adjacent to the bedroom.

Guest access

The kitchen, bathroom and living room is shared space. The living room has a wood burner and a basket of logs for those cooler days.
Please make yourself at home and you are welcome to use the kitchen to make tea, coffee and breakfast.
I will provide milk, bread, jam, marmalade, muesli, cereals, yoghurt, fruit and fruit juice.

Interaction with guests

I have lived in the area for over thirty years and more than happy to make suggestions for your visit. I will be available to help you in any way to enjoy your stay and look forward to welcoming you.

Other things to note

Please note that I do not live in Chippenham! My village is about 7 miles from Chippenham.
Sat Navs seem to be taking visitors to the wrong place so once your booking is confirmed, I will give you more accurate directions.

Jennifer was an amazing host and we felt very welcome. It was like going home to family for the weekend. We felt very lucky to be hosted by such a wonderful lady in such an incredible little cottage.

This is great combination of clean and beatiful house, kind host and nice location. It was a pleasure to stay at Jennifer's cottage. She is very friendly and we enjoyed chatting with her. The room is big with comfortable bed and has garden view. The cottage gives you an experience of English countryside with modern facilities like well equipped kitchen, fast wifi. Thank you Jennifer for a fantastic stay!

Possibly our loveliest most accommodating ever Airbnb host and that is saying something! You will not find a more welcoming host - Staying at Jennie home was a real treat. It's a beautiful tranquil sanctuary with gorgeous garden and she even showed us her allotment and took us to meet the neighbouring rare breed hens and ducks. Full of information and tips but very mindful of our privacy if we wanted time to ourselves, a perfect balance! Incredibly reasonably priced - if we are ever coming this way again we will be back for sure. Cannot recommend enough.

Jennifer was such a warm, kind and thoughtful host and her house and gardens were beautiful, comfortable and welcoming. We stayed for only one night for a wedding nearby and Jennifer was really accommodating and provided a lovely breakfast and was really lovely to talk and share stories with. Jennifer was really helpful and communicative about giving us directions as the sat nav had other ideas of where to take us! There were lots of lovely touches and Jennifer even left us a bar of salted caramel chocolate by our bed in case of a hangover in the morning (our hearts were won!) On her recommendation we visited Castle Combe on our way home which was idyllic! We definitely hope to be back. Thank you for a perfect stay!

Excellent room, light airy spacious. New comfy bed. We had our picnic there and oh breakfast was a delight, cereal toast boiled eggs and fresh berries. We have stayed at lots of places round there over the past two years, pubs bnb.. this was far and away the very best.
