DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS HOST. I booked an Airbnb for me and my boyfriend and Máté said he would book us a taxi from the airport to the apartment. No one came to pick us up, my messages and calls were ignored. Finally someone answered the phone who had no clue what was going on but told us to go to the apartment where owner would meet us. We waited in the cold over an hour to be ignored countless times and lied to. No one came, we had to go and stay somewhere else, luckily we could do or we would have been stranded in Budapest. It was horrible so DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS HOST. Disgusting experience.

AVOID LIKE YOU WOULD A DARK ALLEY-WAY LATE AT NIGHT.... This turned out to be our Airbnb nightmare experience... We arrived at the apartment at 1am and Máté ensured us that his self check-in guide would help us get into the apartment. On it, it said "use one of the keys to open the gate". Now there were 5 keys, we used them all. I tried it. My girlfriend tried it. I tried it again. She tried again. It wasn't opening. So we decided to call Máté.... My girlfriend is Hungarian so she called and she said it was saying the phone wasn't registered. She tried calling 5 times and it kept saying the same. We ended up dragging 5 luggages through Budapest city after 1am trying to find a hotel that was open. We eventually hailed a taxi driver who was helpful enough to bring us to the places he knew. Eventually we found a hotel and had to foot €90 for a room for a few hours. It was 3am by the time we settled into the hotel. My Girlfriend had job interviews then next morning which she had to cancel. Eventually we got through to Máté and he arranged for a young guy to meet us outside the apartment (although he said he would be there personally). Turns out it was simply an electronic key that opened the gate which was not stated in the guide. In the apartment, the wifi wasn't working either and it was virtually impossible to get correspondence from Máté. I was relieved to be leaving the apartment and moving into another place.

Nice and modern appartement. I liked the place a lot. Its in the hearth of Budapest at a living street but its quiet because of the nice building architecture. I just missed the WLAN sometimes. Worked 1 day.

In several of the previous evaluations are mentioned the same problems that I had, I regret not having read carefully but now I have put them that are VERY USEFUL. The internet is UNEXISTENT. For me, the Internet was very important to be connected with members of my team who competed in "FINA World Championship" and I paid special attention to when choosing an apartment. The girl who received me gave me the password of an Internet belonging to a department 2 floors below and that in order to connect you have to stand in the hallway in front of the apartment, IT SEEMS FRAUDULENT to me!!! I claimed for this service on the day of arrival and I got the Wi-Fi on the second day and just for 1 hour. Máté did not answer my messages again. The apartment apparently was clean, but the floor was dirty and with hairs. The problem with the utensils for cooking seems TO BE RECURRENT, is that they move things from one department to another??? There was no frying pan and pots, no dish towel or kitchen towel either. The apartment HAS NO AIR CONDITIONING, I had to ask for a fun... And after cooking, all the smells rise to where the bed is.The apartment overlooks into a noisy atrium (courtyard) therefore with the windows open it is impossible to sleep. And last but not least, THE ELEVATOR DID NOT WORK, I had to climb stairs to 3rd floor with the suitcase

Mate said he would arrange a taxi for us however when we arrived, the taxi was no where to be seen. After waiting around he eventually replied a while later saying that the taxi driver had an accident so would not come. We were given the wifi password. However after 20 minutes the wifi completely disconnected and never came back on again throughout the trip. When we asked Mate why it was not working he replied a day later telling us to turn off the router. After searching over the entire apartment for the router, we could not find it therefore asked Mate where to find it. He never replied. We later found out the router was in a neighbor's apartment.
